Mr and Mrs Tepper won't be firing themselves and I doubt they'll sell... so what's your solution?

The only thing he’s trying to do is take credit, if he ever learns to cleans up his own mess of things. That’s not trying.

yall really aren’t curious in the slightest why Tepper relies on his wife and customer service rep to help him and doesn’t actually hire football people?

Not curious why he can somehow look back at his legendary/historical failings as an owner and still want to call shots like he’s capable? Not at all?

it’s because he wants to be in the spotlight should he ever figure out how things work. His ego is too big. And losing no matter how long is of no concern. He can’t do that if he hires someone to run this properly and then has success. That would also be actually trying.

No telling how many super bowls  Jerry Jones would have won if he would have had a President or simply not ruined things with Jimmy Johnson.

Best advice would to be stop worrying so much about the owner. After hiring the GM (and in some cases, input on the HC), they’re removed from the process. The product on the field is up to the GM to get and keep the right players and the HC to get those players ready and manage the game.  If those two roles weren’t filled to your liking, then discuss who you think would be better and why. I personally think Fitterer has done fine, some misses and some hits, and it’s way too early to tell with Reich but I’m optimistic once he gives playcalling to Brown (which he said he would, just a matter of when.)

Almost all dumpster fire NFL franchises start with a dumpster fire owner. It's quite literally one of the easiest things to see in all professional sports. Idiot owners can wreck franchises more thoroughly than any player, coach, GM or team exec can.

How did browns fans make it this long and does their stadium get overrun by opposing fans?

That's a history of loyalty to a team. We are new money. Have existed for less than 30 years in a college sports area

Also- Charlotte is a huge transplant city. So many people moving to the area for whatever reasons and they are still loyal fans to places  they came from along with the teams. How many people who live in Charlotte are actually from Charlotte or even the Carolinas. People moving here in droves……

Also those midwestern types are a different breed. I see way more pro sport fans in Detroit, Cleveland, Chicago, etc than I ever have in the entire state of North Carolina.

They care way more about that poo than we do. It's just the truth.

Well I mean, who is moving to Cleveland?  That's the thing about Charlotte, it's a transplant city.  Also, as others have pointed out, the Panthers haven't even existed for 30 years yet.  Everybody around here already had a favorite team.  Like if your parents are Steelers, Vikings, or Cowboys fans you probably will be too and won't switch loyalties because there's an expansion team.  Especially if they suck ass most of the time.

The Browns have been around since the 40s when the NFL was actually less popular than college football and baseball.  Teams would barnstorm around the country playing exhibition games, folded and merged all the time, etc.  It's ancient history at this point but they actually did win NFL titles pre-merger and had some great teams up into the 80s.
