No, but they were at least entertaining to watch, unlike the last 3 years of garbage we've been served.  Always felt we had a chance to win a game with #1 back there...now I just assume we are gonna get stomped, just differently each week.

Because we replaced Smith with Benjamin and Funchess and had traffic cones protecting Cam .. Cam has HoF stats when considering he was the sole reason the ‘17 Panthers had 11 wins .. that roster was a 5 win team with anyone else

Yep, it didn't matter who we played against. You always knew you had a chance with Cam as your qb. At the very least there could be some magic or energy on every single play. It was fun to see all the players on both sides of the ball having fun and Cam having the crowd at the palm of his hands. I wish we can get back to that some day soon, hopefully with Bryce.

facts but I will say every panthers L since rhule follows 1 of two paths. Defense keeps it close while the O sputters and then the D eventually gasses out, or they get BTFO from the jump.

I miss JR big time. Too bad he was creeping too hard.

I remember people calling this team a "Mom and Pop" operation with JR when it's literally David and Nicole running this thing into the ground. JR knew to stay out of things for the most part.

Also, it doesn't feel right having a Northerner for an owner. This is isn't the same Panthers that I originally became a fan of

This is the kind of nonsense that I’ll never understand. Having a “Northerner” for a team owner? Wtf kind of ridiculous statement is that??  That’s the sort of tribalistic, hillbilly, ignorant poo that is the problem with our country now. Not only that, but JR was a terrible owner who failed at every hiring except John Fox and then kept him on way too long past his expiration date.  Not only that, he told our brand new QB no tattoos or long hair. Not only that he was a toxic creep. And that’s all just the stuff we know about. Getting rid of JR was the best thing to happen to this team since creation.  Tepper has made mistakes, but his willingness to admit them and move on makes him infinitely better than JR.

Go back to NY, yankee! Nothing wrong with wanting an NC native to own the team. Also, JR selling was objectively not the best thing to happen to this franchise. Complete falsehood.

Also, I said I didn’t condone his creepy poo

I miss ballroom practices at the convention center.

denver broncos no GIF this guy is still trying to make himself relevant?!?!

What on earth do you get out of randomly posting our best players worst moments this? Would you post gifs of Luke Kuechly crying from his concussion? There's being disappointed with a loss and then there's being a garden tool. You should be able to figure out which one you fall in line with.

I’m from NC, hillbilly. Sampson county.  I’ve just gotten out and seen the world and am not afraid of it.

    • This 1000%.  Hey who wants to sign with the guy that couldn't even get his client the guaranteed contract of a 3rd round pick?  Lmao
    • I don't think it's any weird or unique clause, it's the offset language, same thing so many contract disputes are over. It just means that including it, if a player is cut and then signed by another team, the original team would be able to subtract how much they're getting paid by the new team from what they still owe him on their guaranteed money. For example, it's why Russell Wilson signed for the minimum last year with the Steelers as that was included in his Denver contract.  So if he signed with the Steelers for $1 million, he'd get $1 million less from the Broncos, if it was $2 million, he'd get $2 million less, basically he couldn't make any more money than he was already going to make, so you sign for the minimum to not take unnecessary cap room from your new team while giving extra cap room to your old one. The problem with trying to include it in rookie deals is that a team trying to include it, it says they think they don't really believe the player will make it 4 years with the team before they cut them.  And this usually comes up with one or two rookies in most seasons, the difference is it's usually handled much more quietly and not as public and ugly as this one. The other difference is that it's happening with the Bengals, which I believe I saw are one of the few (or only?) team that doesn't have protections for rookies in rookie and mini camps to be able to participate even if they haven't signed their contract yet.  The other teams have injury protections that allow them to still play, but the Bengals do not, which is also why this one is so public and ugly, as most the time this happens, the rookie is still participating in the rookie and subsequent mini camps, giving them more time to get the contract done before training camp when they'd then hold out.
