Must win game

We don’t know what the inverse of the situation would have been. We could have signed Derek Carr, Jimmy G, or minshew and never made the trade. Then ended up finishing around 7-10 - 11-6 …. Then picking in the middle of the first next year.

then how are we feeling? Delaying the inevitable at that point.

we can create as many universes as we want … but stressing about what pick the bears get completely dismisses the purpose of the deal.

We could have given MC a shot.   The trade is the trade at this point but there were other avenues to explore rather then do what we did.  We are still a long way out from knowing if it was worth it but I feel again Tepper just got antsy and pushed to move up.  I was always of the mindset let the draft unfold and see what is happening real time before you pulled the trigger.  IMO its just going to take a monumental career from Young to justify what we did.

Again I ranted on here in Rhules first year to either go with Greir or go with cam, take this down to the studs and build.  By not doing such has gotten us to where we are, some nice pieces but godawful depth and the path to become a top tier team seems so far down the road

What if he has a Jared Goff/Kirk Cousins/Stafford like career?

One of those won a SB.  So yeah if he has a career like MS then sure.  the others, not so sure, thats a lot of draft capital for a cousins type career.

However, slightly off topic I will say the Bears also got panicky and traded too soon, they could have made probably 3 trades and still ended up at 9 if that was their objective.

If Dalton starts, it's a get-right game for Minnesota.

If Young starts, it's a get-right game for Minnesota.

Instead of putting all the eyes on QB performance, let's highlight Mr. 2 YPC himself, Miles Sanders, and his merry band of turnstiles.

Young's not gonna throw for 375 yards and 6 TD, sorry. Probably 1 TD, 1 INT. Probably another 12-carry, 30-yard performance from Sanders where one carry goes for 12 yards and the rest are -1 to 1.

CATCH THE FEELING

My buddy who is bears fan is very mad they didn’t stay put and take Bryce. Thinks that Bryce would have been perfect fit for their offense.  Everyone has an opinion

Not sure what repeating what the manning brothers said about “must win games” has to do with our franchise…..

Yeah

The whole "must win" from a fans perspective really comes off as someone who has way too much of their personality defined by a sports club (that they are not a part of).

It goes hand in hand with the phrase “control your own destiny”

just hot phrasing for a metaphorical meaning… but people take it literally

Man I really missed your logic and rationale on here this past week or two.  It's been desperately needed!

If Panthers don’t win this weekend we risk going 0-6 to start the season because we’re not beating the Lions or the Dolphins in the two weeks after that. If we beat the Vikings we can still lose against the Lions and Dolphins but win vs Texans and Colts amd Bears to be a respectable 4-5 heading into the second half of the season.

if you’re 0-6 it becomes almost impossible to build any type of confidence.  Vikings is a must win game and a must break through performance for Bryce

Wait you think we can save the season with a win, but you already admitted we will lose the next 2 games regardless.

So we can save the season with a 1-5 record?

LMAO!

This isn't a must win game.  We were always going to have a losing season this year.  Wins were never supposed to matter this year.   Developing Bryce forward by year end is all that has ever mattered.

People didn't want to listen to this prior to the year kicking off.  It never mattered that Frank said he wanted to win.  That is just standard coach bologna you say to a losing fanbase.

    • Great season regardless of what happens. From starting out 4-14 to ending 44-38 is incredible progress and future is bright from here. I do think we can beat the Heat and then win on the road against either Orlando or Philly assuming Embiid doesn’t miraculously return sooner. But if not, a higher draft pick is nice too
    • I know a DT that's asking for a trade: 🤔 maybe a home discount can be worked out. Dan Morgan could create up to $80 million in space through restructures of stars like Derrick Brown, Jaycee Horn, or Taylor Moton. They could also include players like Tershawn Wharton ($18.6M cap hit) in the trade to balance the salaries. Carolina Receives: DT  Dexter Lawrence II New York Receives: 2026 2nd Round Pick (No. 51 Overall): A premium Day 2 selection that fits the for  Lawrence  after his 0.5-sack season in 2025. WR  Xavier Legette : A young, high-upside receiver who provides the playmaking depth HC John Harbaugh needs for his offense. 2026 4th Round Pick: Immediate mid-round value. 2027 4th Round Pick (via MIN): Future capital acquired in the  Adam Thielen  trade.  ----- Stone Forsythe* (another young player as a potential trade option)provides immediate offensive line retooling for HC John Harbaugh.    John Harbaugh's history in Baltimore proves he values draft volume over individual superstars.    Just my 2cents
    • Moved to Tuesday, not Wednes because of scheduling with Flyers game or something in Philly. But I don't feel good about the Heat.  It has been a great season regardless.  Team just been playing so hard to move up since a bad start and just picked a bad time to get gassed.  It's like almost everyone is shooting cold at the same time even wide open shots.   Maybe atmosphere and playoffs kick off a spark.  I'd rather be in a series than a one and done though. The team has a good foundation to build on regardless of what happens.
