Currently watching Stroud and AR dominate

AR wasn't nearly as raw as people thought he was and you could tell from watching him and the reports of his whiteboard work.

Honestly, I haven't watched him a ton, but at the end of the game he made a back shoulder throw to a receiver that promptly dropped the ball.  It looked like an elite throw

I saw it when I actually started watching UF games. Like wait a minute... this guy is a lot better passer than I expected. His receivers just drop balls like crazy.

Yep, and he threw away a ton of passes as well. He can read the field just as well as Bryce.

The raw takes were bs media 100%

So many on here believed the raw takes, and would talk down anyone who said they wanted AR. Reduced AR to nothing but a running QB.

Let’s be honest, most of us wanted Stroud at some point. He was my favorite so not surprised to see him doing well.

While most of us acknowledged AR’s ceiling based on athletic potential, his college tape indicated he would take a few years to develop.  Nobody saw this coming in year 1.

I can’t stand Jim Irsay the person but damn he is a good owner

I didn’t see him keeping his team in games in year 1. I didn’t see the comeback today happening. I knew at Florida outside of Pretty Ricky we dropped a lot of his passes. But I didn’t think he’d flash as a passer this much already. He’s got a great offensive mind around him. Would be nice to see Taylor play with him.

AR was always my choice. He was matched perfectly with Steichen.

His college tape wasn't that bad though.  I had him as my #1 qb and imo it wasn't close.

    • I honestly can’t believe this team’s turnaround this season. It’s surreal. Figured healthy we’d be fringe playoffs and with another lottery pick could finally turn the corner, but we don’t even need that. This group is ready. We haven’t played remotely well the last 5 games and yet still blew out 5 bad teams by 16+ each game like it was casual practice. We had a few solid teams with Kemba and Big Al but this is easily our best group since the original Hornets moved to NO. Man, what a shift in culture this new ownership group and front office has brought. So damn happy to see it after years of suffering and consistently meaningless games in this stretch of previous seasons.   Only 2.5 games out of the 6 seed, although Miami, Atlanta and Orlando have been playing well too. Gonna be a fun final stretch, hopefully we can get a top 8 seed at the very least. Celtics tomorrow will be a good test. Would be huge to keep the road winning streak up against a very hot top team on the 2nd half of a back to back. We’ve played Boston pretty well the last few years with much of this same group despite sucking so I do feel pretty good about it. Kon is due for a huge game coming off a few cold shooting games (although despite the poor shooting he’s been contributing well with defense, assists and rebounds).
    • It amazes me how underrated Horn has become after he finally was able to stay on the field. Sure last year wasn’t perfect but he was still a huge reason for our rebound defensively and I’d say he’s easily a top 10 corner. You don’t want to see Mike Jackson as our top corner. Any player is available for the right price but I’d be extremely hesitant to move Horn even for a big haul from LA.
