We ran the play clock down to 0 every time. That has something to do with it.

I noticed that too, which is not great when facing a team that likes to blitz.

Reich mentioned that they called 2 plays almost every huddle to give Bryce options at the line. But it seemed like that almost did more damage then it helped. Some of our best drives seemed when we went hurry up or had a fast tempo.

Watch Bryce throw the football. Watch other QBs throw the football. The one deep shot Bryce has took this year came up horribly short despite the receiver being grabbed and slowed down. For Bryce to complete passes more than 10 yards beyond the LOS the guy has to be wide open. If he's not Bryce just hasn't shown the ability to generate the velocity needed to deliver the ball. Sorry.

Honestly, Bryce throws about like Cam after the shoulder injuries.

This is my big concern and fear.  And it's not just 40 yard shots where he doesn't seem to drive the ball... Just a lot of concern for his arm strength... but it looked better in college so I'm hoping it's actually hesitancy/confidence that is somehow translating to his ability to drive the ball and with time he'll adjust

He has 3 fumbles and has to have some of the higher end pressures/hits considering Zavala allowed an absurd amount of pressures by himself.

average a fumble a game has to get cleaned up and the fumbles he has its just him barely getting touched, its a problem

Bryce attempted two deep shots in the first game against Atlanta. He threw a deep pass to TMJ, who stopped running mid way. The second one was to Jonathan Mingo that could have been a 99-yard TD, he overshot was not under-thrown.

Against the Saints, he took a deep shot to Chark that resulted in a PI

In his third game against the Vikings, he threw it to Chark and got illegal contact down the field.

I haven't seen anything from his throws that says below-average NFL arm.

If you are saying he doesn't have elite arm strength like Josh Allen, Mahomes, Rodgers, Herbert, etc.. I agree with you.

Stroud has 3, Lamar 6, Tua 5, Cousins 4. Young is getting pressured and hit way more than these guys. You were claiming his fumbling was due to his size isn’t adding up. We are lucky he hasn’t thrown more picks under this constant pressure. It’s probably due to the dull, conservative play calling.

I submit that your reasons #2 and #3 are the root cause of why reason #1 appears to be the case.

No, Bryce is just limited.  That's going to be it's own thing regardless even as he develops.

You can get a good scheme, playcaller, and talent.  But Bryce simply isn't going to ever bring some things to the table.  And that's probably true with most players.

You hit a QB from behind when they are looking to pass can easily cause fumbles. Remember Cam in the Super Bowl. Protect your QB and the fumbles will stop.
Plus these QBs aren’t getting blasted to cause these fumbles. Refs will throw a flag all day if teams do that.

    • So after watching (or tried to watch) Night 1 of Wrestlemania 42, I concluded on a few things: 1) WWE partnering with ESPN/Disney is by far the worst move WWE could had made. They either needed to stay on Peacock or simply switched over to Netflix for all of their PLEs because tonight's broadcast on the ESPN + app was absolutely terrible. I couldn't go 5 seconds without a buffer due to everyone trying to stream the show at once and you would think that WWE and ESPN would realize this before going into Wrestlemania weekend but yet still allowed this issue to keep occuring. Not only that but I backed out of the show and tried to see if that fixed the issue but realized that because of the buffering, it basically "paused" the show and I ended up being several minutes behind so once I got back in, the match had already ended and the magic was ruined by their stupid issue. 2) The ads.. the motha f'n ads... If it ain't greedy enough for both WWE and ESPN to steal our money but to force us to watch 5 minutes of ads after each match is absolutely ridiculous. You already have our money with all the streaming services and also with ticket sales, and with merchandise and the advertising for companies on their turnbuckles and ring mats... But yeah, let's throw in even more trash commercials to force it down our throats. I get they do it for RAW too on Netflix but is sad that both streaming services force live events to have commercials when really it should be commercial free. 3) Really, in the end, it was a lackluster 1st night and pretty predictable. For them to hype this show this much, I expected better. Literally, the only surprises for Night 1 was Paige returning and maybe the return of Bron Breaker but outside of that, it was pretty bad.    Ok... I am done ranting. Maybe I will feel better after a good night's sleep 😂
