The Carolina Panthers have The HIGHEST FPI Odds to have the Number 1 overall pick in this upcoming draft.

Only problem, we won’t own it

It can not be said enough. These people thought they were a QB away from taking the division and now don't even have the 1st pick they are earning by failing.

Boy am I glad we held on to Burns instead of CMC and DJ.

Hindsight is always 20/20.

We were sold that these people were serious football people.  We haven't seen the end result.  If you fire Reich after less than a full season - what kind of candidate are you going to be able to pull in?  Will EE want to stick around?  Or will he be looking for a better, more stable franchise?  There's of course some professional arrogance that someone would take it - but are we going to end up with a better coach?

I hate to tell many of you knee-jerk reactors, but we're going to have to let this play out.  Rhule got 2+ years.  Reich is going to need the same.  Does it suck right now?  Yes.   Does it suck knowing that we gave Chicago a top 10 pick (probably higher)?  Oh yeah.

Embrace it for now.  We have to keep going and try to fix things as we go.

      That's going to account for about a baker's dozen nationwide. He isn't bringing Taylor Swift numbers nor, sadly, are those shows bringing many female viewers in general. Substantially less than regular games will. I am not pining for any sort of publicity that isn't from the field, good or bad. Tepper has definitely cured me of any of those notions.

      I think we are very far away from that, unfortunately. I also think our roster is far worse than most realize. It's largely unproven or underperforming young players or veteran journeymen. Our core is the smallest it has been in probably 15 or more years. The truth is, our talent pool has been shrinking rapidly since Ron left. This is the result of Gettleman's poor drafting in his latter years, Hurney's poor overall drafting and then the absolutely disasterous Rhule/Fitterer era. All the while, the deep talent pool we had was either retiring or leaving.  I mean, what drafted talent do we have that would even start on a third of the NFL teams? Just basically Brown and Moton. Horn really doesn't count because, well....he is never healthy enough to start anyway.  That's fuging terrible. If not the worst in the NFL, very close to it.
