That surely is a fear, but you'd think that being a psych guy that he'd be able to get past this. We'll find out. He never has had to suffer much adversity. We'll see what he's made of.

He will overcome it just sucks that the so called QB whisperer Frank Reich is whispering the wrong things to him.

A lot of the same issues

- line isn’t holding up.

- receivers can’t separate although Thielen did a good job of finding openings in the middle of the zone.

- Bad concepts, no vertical explosion and too much horizontal stuff.

- Bryce missing a couple of chances to throw big plays

- Bryce missing zero blitz

Obviously a lot of this is connected. Lack of protection being the biggest culprit with respect being able to make those bigger throws and get the offense more vertical, but everyone has blame to take on how bad this offense is playing.

Biggest takeaway is that Bryce is not making the correct decisions based on the defensive sets he is looking at.

There were a few plays he goes into detail about Bryce needing to know what his first read should be based off the look the defense is showing him and not what the actual first read the play call asks for. Ignoring an entire side of the field even when the defense is begging you to throw that way when you are supposed to be a mental maestro is a pretty big red flag.

@7:25 is a major example of this that he goes into detail about.

 Lol this is not true

Good grief, man. You are absolutely ignoring blatant reality. Go to the 7:25 mark and watch. It was exactly as the poster said.

You think the biggest takeaway from that video is that Bryce is missing reads? I watched that video in its entirety and if that’s the takeaway y’all are failing the test.

Yea it's funny to me people want to put all the offenses issues on our rookie QB. No run game, oline having issues protecting, wrs not getting consistent separation, and of course the rookie mistakes that Bryce makes. And every mistake he makes is magnified times 10 and exaggerated by people on this board who I thought had a good football acumen. But that's what happens when people get blinded by emotion it is what it is.

I'll say this on the subject:

I want Bryce to spend an entire game going for chunk plays. I don't care if he leads the league in interceptions after this weekend. I want to see him throw the ball downfield. What I cannot stand is this rinky-dink 5-yard pass and screen nonsense. We suck, I get it. I'm not expecting miracles. I just want to see him stretch the field. I want to see if he can actually succeed in time and with better playcalling.

And that's it. I'm checked out this week and am going to do something better with my time than watch, fully expecting when I see the box score it'll be more of the same. But if I see the stat line Sunday night, and Bryce goes for 350 yards, 0TD, 3 INT, I guarantee I'll watch next weekend.

    • I mean, I think you're being a little hyperbolic with the last statement, but point taken.
    • Pass rush was the biggest issue in tonight’s game, and we were tied for 28th in sacks this season. That is a major area of need that has to get addressed this offseason. I just don’t see a path where there’s a game changing QB you can bring in with where we are drafting and quality of veterans that will be available. We certainly can do better than Dalton as a backup, and should ideally have a developmental guy  (perhaps a day 3 pick this year). We have bryce for one more year on a reasonable contract and then I think 2027 is the year that you reset that position (unless he massively improves).
    • Agreed, honestly basically bringing this group back as a healthy unit would be alright.  Brady Christensen should be resigned to a very reasonable deal with him recovering from the Achilles.  Atleast we're alright at 4 of our 5 spots with Lewis, Mays, Hunt, and Moton, Nijman was decent.  While if we can snag a deal on someone, take a stab, however our resources need to go to Linebacker, Pass Rush and a real option outside Tmac (coker is amazing, but if we can get someone who isnt braindead opposite Tmac, we can fully unleash Coker AND Tmacs full potential, cant move him into the slot if racoon boy is out there licking doorknobs).
