The coaching staff is a bust… we’re at our lowest point as an organization… but what do you do and who’s your building blocks?

Most of our building blocks are on defense.lol

The offense needs a complete makeover besides Bryce of course. Goal #1 should be targeting Tee Higgins in FA. Please do not make anymore foolish trades. If we can get Jeudy for a 3rd that makes sense.

Go into next year with Higgins/Jeudy now Bryce has something to work with. We can find a rb off the street that's an upgrade over trash Sanders.

So if I’m Tepper…

I probably fire Fitterer around the bye, have a very pointed conversation with Frank and the front office regarding expectations. Place Morgan as the interim. I instruct him to trade Burns for draft capital and halt any other trades trades that don’t increase draft capital.

I probably let Frank finish the season. It’s already to poo and I don’t think there is a replacement on this roster outside of many Evero. People keep saying Brown but he hasn’t even been a true OC yet.

If Frank finishes the season strong and holds his staff accountable, and has the balls to give the play calling to Brown. Good,  but probably still won’t save him unless he has a hell of second half and makes the post season.

At the end of the season, I clear out the entire coaching staff. No hold overs, no exceptions. I interview Morgan for the GM role but no guarantees. I hire an outside group to help me through the hiring of a GM and Head Coach.

For GM I target somebody who understands the importance of a strong defensive core. Somebody who is committed to rebuilding our corner room even if it means moving Horn and Jackson. Who will go out and get some absolute head hunters at LB. I don’t care how athletic. I want them to be so mean they have to live in a cage and be in restraints on the sideline. I want somebody who understands the importants of a OL and it’s depth, and can find Stewart/Williams type running backs.

For HC I want somebody aggressive but not desperate. Somebody who can establish a physical run game and coaches on the importance of the turnover differential.

I really wouldn’t be opposed to a guy like Harbaugh. IF (big if) Tomlin were to be let go, or Vrabel I would view them as fits.

Although it’s not as exciting we have always been more successful when we have a strong 4-3 defense and an offense dedicated to the run. For some reason, the heavy pass/3-4 defense never works out for us.

I’d be ecstatic with any of those three as HC lmao. Totally agree though. We have to get the run game fixed

Unfortunately these aren't "real jobs" we are talking about here. The owners invest MILLIONS into these guys. They aren't going to give up on them through 5 weeks into the regular season in their first year no matter how emotional this fan base gets. No one is going to want to come coach here and no free agent is going to sign here if that's how you choose to run your team. Give them time to figure it out that is literally the only option.

Except we just did that with Matt Rhule!

My goodness people we don't want to keep falling for hope. Frank had his day, the game has simply passed him by. We need to move on. He's had 8 games and still can't buy a win. These playcalls you see it, how do you defend that. The man was still calling underneath routes while we are getting blown out. We signed Chark who is a deep threat yet no deep balls. Bryce struggles are not only on him but the play caller. He's dinking and dunking and it shows with his stats.

Frank gotta go. No more longterm plan. He's not the answer now, he won't be then.

We don’t have to pay a QB a huge salary for at least another two to three seasons. (May be longer if Bryce doesn’t work out) If Fitt, Morgan, and Suleiman can’t figure out how to put a competitive team together then they both need to be fired. Imagine if they had work around a 200+ million dollar contract.

Honestly at this point tear town down the entire front office and start from scratch.

I understand believe me. Being 0-5 through the first 5 weeks is not a good look no matter who the coach is. I really do think they need more time though. If Rhule got to year 3 I think Reich certainly makes it to year 2 but beyond that will be a question to how we end this year and start next year. If we come out winless through this first few weeks next year I will be fully on board for a reset and I don't think anyone in the NFL would blame us. I just don't see any major changes happening this season. I could be wrong though we'll just have to see

So we hire a new coach and GM come out and lose 2 or 3 games to start the season next year what do you do? Fire them as well? Keep firing coaches until one finally has a hot start? I don't think moving on from Reich or even Fitt this season is a realistic option. Next season though? And we still look like this? Absolutely.

People here want us to be the new Browns where we have 20 different starting QB’s and coaches in a ten year period. It’s the gotta have it now mentality where if you don’t win NOW we just blow it up and keep blowing it up until we have a three game winning streak.

    • They've gone way overboard with the masking of plays by only filming the ball in air.  Nobody is analyzing camp highlights.
    • Canales up first. Guys got their legs back yesterday and started a little slow when they came out Bryce challenged them in the huddle and they responded "Dominant practice for the defense today." Praised turnovers, "beautiful hits," and being physical Praised Moehrig, Ransom, Incoom, and Jones II Confirmed playing starters. Predominantly a young team and can't pass up an opportunity. Emphasized game day routines such as nutrition, body readiness, etc. Plus it's a bunch of new guys on the defense. Bryce will start. Will play them the first two, but starters might sit for the third game depending on how practice goes that week. Nic Scourton has a mild hamstring that happened in special teams. DJ Johnson had an issue with his hip flare up and is getting checked out this afternoon. Experimenting with approach to preseason games. In Seattle they played their starters in all but the last preseason game and what Pete Carroll was looking for in terms of mental readiness to play football. Thomas Incoom has been getting a lot of work with AC Carter adding to his toolbelt. Getting better as a rusher and being physical in the run game. Looking for a consistency in response. 1pt for a win, 3pts for a TD. Defense doesn't like that, but in games if they give up one go ball the score can swing. They challenged the pass game and the run game today. Guys are getting together before, between, and after team drills to challenge each other Job of the coaching staff to set the foundation for our schemes, philosophy, and expectations of what it's like to play Panthers football. Powerful when players take that and the locker room owns it. That's when it becomes our team, their team. At the end of the day, the men on the field have to rebound from a bad play, celebrate the good plays, and keep each other in tune for a whole game. Robert Hunt is amazing. Size, talent, quickness, flexibility. Really intelligent guy that there will say himself there are technique things he needs to work on. Regardless of where players are at, there's a constant learning curve and loves that Big Rob is challenging himself with the position coach. Thinks the digital down and distance can be really valuable. Getting the information quickly will help with the flow of the game. Thought TMac looked great but there were some near misses that he'll have to get in the room and communicate with Bryce on while reviewing film. James Mitchell keeps doing right and his trust factor is increasing with the QBs. If you're right and the coverage says the ball goes there, it'll come. Had some issues at the start of camp but is trending up. Newton or Person: "It looked like today was beyond thud but short of live. What do you call that?" Canales: "No, that's thud. In my mind, that's what thud should look like. The challenge for our defensive guys is can you put your body in a position where we know that would've been a tackle." Whizzing by, tagging with two hands, etc doesn't show you whether you would've made a tackle. That's not real football. Let's the play extend because guys have to be ready to chase sometime where the ball squirts out from a pit. Can't train to say "Ah, it was a tackle" and relax but instead play with intensity through the whistle. Lathan Ransom is bringing the physical style of play that they saw on film. Has been really into the details and someone that they can count on. Has really given himself a chance to start at the other safety position. Excited for the extra energy from a game-like environment that they'll get from FanFest. Used to have four preseason games and now FanFest feels like that first one. Will give ST full speed reps to evaluate. Making plays and feeding off of the fans. Window closed quickly on the INT to finish practice. CSW baited Bryce with some movement and made a great play. Saw it from Bryce's perspective with TMac coming open. Has played all over the secondary that they can count on to speak loudly and be on the same page with his teammates.
