Mr. Tepper, do the right thing and let Mark Richardson become a minority owner in the Panthers

Mr. Tepper,

I know your cohort reads this board to get a pulse on the fans. You’re the owner, the billionaire, you’re the real life Mike Prince.

You can fix some major issues with this franchise and right a wrong by selling some of this franchise to Mark Richardson.

Hear me out, Mark Richardson IS Carolina Panthers football, he was in many committees and was groomed to take over until the OG BIGCAT fired him.

You need someone to navigate local politics for a practice facility

You need someone local who’s going to help get that mega TepperTaj NFL stadium built

You need someone who understands football with roots to the Carolinas.

Own the majority, 90%, sell 10% to Mark and blend The Appaloosa Way with some Southern Comfort and let’s fix the wrongs in this franchise

Seriously? How about the fact that having Mark Richardson (the son) on board cost this franchise Bill Polian back in 1998, the single worst thing that ever happened to this organization. Had Polian become President at that time, the history of the Panthers would have been completely different.

Having sons involved in the Front Office rarely, if ever, works. See Rankin Smith, Robert Irsay, etc.

With Snyder gone there is a legit argument we might be the worst ran franchise in the league. Tepper been here since 2018 and not a single playoff appearance.

Even when we got close last year he managed to let Wilks go for another clown who was fired mid season last year.

Tepper simply doesn't know football if you ask me.

    • Dude is a stud. 24+ touches a game. When Thielen comes back things will open up significantly again. His loss has meant that much.
    • I just don't include the games that Bryce Young started. I think that you get a clearer picture of the team if you look at it from a perspective of erasing those two games. It's obvious that the defense is bad, but the offense has greatly improved if you remove the first two games of the season.
    • I have to say, I like the fighting spirit. The team has been absolutely decimated by injuries, and yet we saw a game that was within reach until we decided to hang our hopes and fortunes on Ian Thomas. You've got a lot of PS pickups, waiver wire snags, and depth players stepping up and doing their best to contribute. Will it be a winning effort most times? No, probably not. They're bench-warmers for a reason. But they're certainly trying to make a game of it. I like to see Andy smiling and having fun, but then get big mad on the sideline. He's clearly not in this for a paycheck.   You can hardly get mad that a team that squandered its future on Bryce Young, lost it's best player on defense week 1, and is starting depth players at almost every position has only 1 win at this point in the season. But I think I can see the hazy outline of a winning culture forming. And it simply has to be said, I think we have an RB of the future to build around in Chuba Hubbard. He's rapidly going from a lunch pail contributor, to a legitimate star. That's not something I was expecting.
