These new guys are really helping the defense. Even though the shots aren’t falling, the defense has been really good.

Also, Grant Williams has been really good, I don’t see any decline from P.J. to Williams.

Williams may not have 40 point potential but he’s super consistent.

He's also starting to grab guys and talk to them. He's showing leadership.

damn this is an entirely different team, loved our trade deadline before these past 2 games, now I'm over the moon lol. Seriously despite this being a brutal lost season I feel really good about this team going forward. Need new ownership to nail the GM and HC hires though.

I’ll take consistency and strong defense over sporadic scoring of great games and bad games. Williams has a long term future here plus we get a 1st.

What makes this even more sweet is that we could go on a nice little run and we’d still end up with a top 7 pick. Not to mention that there isn’t a consensus as to who the number one player in this years draft is. It’s not like winning games is taking us out of the running for a Wembanyama level player.

With this draft having a lot of international and G-League Ignite flair, one of Cody Williams, Dalton Knecht, Ja’Kobe Walter or Rob Dillingham should be there for the Hornets.

    • I could be waaaaaaay off about Kon. I do fault myself into, to borrow a NFL phrase heavily "RAS" nerd on players, too much. There are PLENTY of athletic freak shows that are playing overseas(or Amazon delivery) cause they never figured out NBA ball. I can easily miss seeing the talent. Plus did he only have 2 dunks on the season??(is that for real??) I didn't watch over a few hours of duke, but not one point did I think "That Kon guy is a top 4 pick in the upcoming draft". IMO I still foresee Ball bringing the ball up, doing his weak isolation game and never even looking for Kon. That's his best trait according to everyone, shooting right? I do not see ball, bridges, miller or even williams making the extra pass to Kon for him to shoot a 3.  Then defense-wise, Im not ready to type the amount of questions I foresee in his ability for guarding NBA SGs or bench SFs for that matter. Not that NBA players care to defend, but still..... I just feel he's a bad fit for the current hornets, trades are taking place tho... Liam to me is a decent comp for Kon and he fell some, but was a 29 overall pick. Still around 13-21 was the good solid range for Liam and I thought the same for Kon. This is just a classic case of I need to see it. It add to this, Kon is like garlic. Ball is like sugar and Miller is like flour. Mix it together and chef Lee is not going to get me to eat that dish..... Honestly I don't know why Im this vocal about Kon. In past years I would be patience and not post and see what the kid has. The other side, insert classic white boy terms here- _____, ______, _______< etc >. Hornets do desperately need them. His crafty back door cuts, his willingness to stay a extra 2 hours to refine lees plays, keep playing with bruised limbs. I heard from many reports he's mentally tough and hornets by all gods need that. God they are such pussys.  I hope Im wrong and if so, I will give Kon his just props.
