Bryce Young doesn't have a superprocessor, he is literally costing us games

Tua is putting great numbers but can't win agaisnt good teams. 0-3 and 17 points avg. That is not a contender.

The Lawrence comps are even funniers. It's Lawrence every time and Bryce isn't close.

Tua is who most thought he was. He can't win under the bright lights against the best.

It's all embarrassing. Do you remember the Doug Flutie comparisons before the draft?

The Tepper's got who they wanted.

Yep

I’m an Angels fan and have grown to despise the owner of the team so much that I’ve completely stopped watching and actually root for them to lose. My only hope is that Arte Moreno gets tired of losing and he sells the team. Until then I’m good not watching.

As a kid you root for a player or a cool jersey but as I get older I appreciate good/smart ownership. Dave and Nicole are literal morons who have absolutely no clue what the f*ck they’re doing. I’m just about at the same point with them as I am with the Angels. Our only hope is that they get tired of being embarrassed and they either sell or stay the hell out of the way. I know they won’t sell because they have the soccer thing going and the whole “entertainment” bs. So we’re left with hoping they quit meddling/making decisions which means we’re needing them to make a decision on hiring a person to make those decisions. Essentially we’re f*cked.

I truly believe the best thing for this organization moving forward is to get curb stomped on Thursday night football against a terrible Bears team

But them sexy stats...

People want to build that around Bryce but it doesn't win SBs.

Fwiw, in his first year, Trevor Lawrence was making throws like this.  Alot of throws like this.

Now he actually looks like a legitimate NFL qb.  So there is still hope.

Trevor made a massive jump after his rookie season because he got a legit HC and playcaller and put actual talent around him. Trevor’s skill talent was worse than Bryce’s.  Zero speed on the field with Urban running the show.

It wasn’t just Trevor getting better. It was everything around him got better.

so for Bryce to make a massive jump, I think he needs a similar change around him.   But that still won’t change the fact Trevor was built in a lab and Bryce can’t make all the throws Trevor can.

It’s not Young’s play that’s so concerning, it’s that he looks tiny and slow. That’s not going to change wit a better oline. TL never looked tiny and slow.

Lawerence definitely looked slow to me, and somewhat awkward in first two seasons.  Lawrence is actually slower than Bryce, at least with his 40 time.  And he threw a lot of interceptions.  More than Bryce has at this point in their respective careers. That being said, only time will tell.

Trevor has always been awkward looking.   Dates back to Clemson.    But that's visual.  We used to laugh at little at him, especially early on. For his size and build, he has great athleticism though.

Trevor also gambles a lot.  And when he had horrific coaching and zero skill talent....he gambled a lot as a rookie.  Which frankly I wish Bryce would do.  Bryce doesn't even know what he can or can't do frankly....because he plays sheepish with the ball in the pass game.  We aren't winning.  This staff needs to work on growth.  I don't care if the WRs suck.  Make them have to make a play.  Would anyone be mad if he got picked on a 50/50 vertical ball that Chark got outplayed on?? I would have been fine w/ 4 of those this past Sunday.  Only time this team really goes vertical is a busted play pops.  They ain't trying.

And for all the talk about Bryce's height, seeing the field didn't seem to be the issue in this last game.  On the first pick 6, he just made a bad decision.  On the second, he overthrew the receiver, seeing the field wasn't an issue.  And on the third one, he underthrew the receiver.

I am not saying he will fix those mistakes; I genuinely don't know.  But if he does, he will be a good qb, if not, well the next few years are going to be as bad as the last few.

Were you around here prior to the draft? 90% of this board was convinced that Stroud had sludge for brains and that Bryce was Moses reincarnate.

I saw it the other way around. People didn't really get in the Bryce train until right before the draft after the FO began leaking that he was the pick. People talked about Bryce like a dog. Sure there may have been a few talking about the S2 test, but I don't believe that most people pay that kinda stuff any mind.

I said that the FO had to get the pick right---especially if there was a big dichotomy between their play---or they'd deserve what they get as far as criticism. Well, it's not looking great, but Young needs a better line and better weapons.

They run a failing scheme to accomidate for that. Lets see him under center for a few plays and let the oline do what they are actually good at doing. Or run a QB sneak.

People need to calm down, Bryce can still get it together. Its also hard to know if this entire system is just not suited for him and he is in an awful situation. He looked atrocious Sunday I agree but it was just one start.  Hed been showing improvements before. I think this Thursday will tell a lot about him, how he responds.

    • Let it all out bro.   At the end of the day Charlotte fans just aren't that passionate as other fans. The Panthers and Hornets crowds are wack.    Go to a Canes game and you will understand this. Tell the family I said hi and Happy Father's Day.
    • Dude you have no idea what you're talking about. Best place to live?  LMAO... that's your criteria...  Charlotte gets put all over those lists too... come on man... and those lists have zero to do with sports. I'm done after this bc I'm punching down intellectually here... The Panthers have been bad for 6 years now. You are obviously young and not overly educated based off the "dunks" you're putting out there that certainly are, so let me educate you today on the Panthers. The Panthers sold out for well over a decade straight. BOA has been as good an environment as there is when the team is good.  Fan support for the Panthers has been incredible when the team has even remotely reciprocated. The idea that Charlotte doesn't support the Panthers is utter BS. People in Raleigh have the biggest little brother syndrome of all time... Nobody outside of the Triangle cares about any of your "vaunted" sports team outside of Duke-UNC in basketball on a national scale. Sure, the Canes are great. But nationally, the WWE dwarfs the NHL in ratings. More people care about Cody Rhodes than Sebastian Aho... or anyone else in the NHL for that matter... I doubt less than 5% of anyone in this state outside of Raleigh even knows who that is... that's a knock on Aho who is a great player, it's just the NHL barely makes a ripple in the overall hierarchy of American sports. It's not in the same universe as the NFL or NBA no matter how badly you want to tell yourself otherwise. Raleigh is not a big-time sports city, no matter how much you want to scream into the abyss about it. Neither is Charlotte. But no one here is making such a nonsense argument... LOL it's good to be young and to be ignorant enough to be confidently wrong... WTF are you even on this board though since Charlotte is so beneath you? There is an actual discussion board on this very site for Raleigh sports since they are so superior...  Maybe it's bc I'm watching Idiocracy with my son, but your timing is perfect, my man... The dumbest among us have become the most confidence in their ignorance... God Bless America!!
    • You do know the biggest military base in the US is located just an hour from Raleigh in Fort Bragg right? Military families are family oriented. A hour drive to games is nothing compared to traveling 3 hours to Charlotte.   Cmon man there is nothing happening in Western Carolina other than Charlotte. I only go west for outdoor activities and some nature/mountain views.
