You mean when we threw 60 times against a depleted secondary and still lost? Yea let’s do that again. Look even if Andy wins 3-4 games so the fug what. We still aren’t going to the playoffs, we still can’t block, and our coaches still suck. It’s about the future and Andy isn’t apart of that. Bryce is and that’s just something you’ll have to come to terms with. Willingly or unwillingly.

Yeah, but it lets us know if it is more of a Bryce problem as to why we only have 1 win or if it truly is 100% on the Oline and receivers. If Dalton were to play the rest of the year and go 3-5 or 4-4, I think that speaks to it being more of a Bryce problem

Don't know if it's a panic move. Might be a little controlling though.

Playcalling isn't as simple as just picking a play to run. You have to know situational football, how to use plays to set things up, etc.

Brown might not have enough experience to understand those factors. I can see you taking it away from him for reasons like that.

That said, part of the idea was to free Frank up to concentrate on other things. He now loses that benefit. And realistically, while it might have been better with Reich, it wasn't exactly great either.

I was really hoping he'd give it to Caldwell. He's not only got experience doing it but a record of success.

I'm not sure Caldwell wants it.  He is mainly just an advisor at this point...

It was a good game by Dalton, but I mean his average YPA was meh (just like Young's).  We put up 27 points which is our highest but Young put up 24 and 21 his last two games before Brown took over play calling in half the amount of attempts.  I get that points are points but you are talking about a 3 point swing from Young's best game.  I'd rather keep letting the rookie get reps to see if he can get better or not.  A couple extra wins with Dalton doesn't do much for us.  Plus Dalton had some good games last year with NO and some stinkers.  It's kind of where he is at now in his career.

I'm talking about the overall passing attack looking a lot more viable.l, not specific stats. Though the specific stats I'd point to for leading to the overall passing attack looking a lot more viable is that we actually threw the ball downfield with some success.

I mean, this season's not going anywhere. What's the point?

The only thing of any practical value that you're really going to get out of the rest of this year is player development, especially for Young.

I just don't see anything to be gained by sitting him.

There isn't a point for the Panthers. I'd just personally like to know. I have a very strong suspicion but another game of Dalton looking considerably better would remove all doubt.

Well, this won't help.

Our games aren't just tragic losses anymore. They are boring and as stale as a Frank Reich offense. Hell make him run it, if we have to watch it he ought to have to as well.

Trade  Reich, PeeWee and Sanders to Chicago for one of our third round picks. Small price to pay and a deal that even Fitt could make happen.

I’m guessing it’s so Reich doesn’t fall asleep on the sideline, but even that would barely make the top 10 most embarrassing moments of the season so far.

Wake him up so he can call screen pass plays to guys not even on the field.

And to be clear. There’s only one game this year I think Dalton would have won based on how the rest of the team played. It’s still Andy fuging Dalton who’s not even as good as Cam Newton sitting at home.
