Nothing. We also gain nothing by doing it now. Season is over. Tabor will not be the HC next season. Either way has no positives, but by doing it now, it could make future candidates iffy on working for Tepper and IF they have options between another place and here ... they might just pick the other place.

Only so many HC jobs in the NFL. If a candidate wants to wait seasons for the job he wants, it may never happen.

Maybe this firing leads to winning some games. Maybe we don't end up gifting the Bears the #1 pick.

 

Something needed to happen now because this team is playing with no passion. Frank just wasn't cut for this job point blank.

      when we drafted Bryce Young that team might have been more talented than the team we currently have ?  that was the whole reasoning behind morgagting  our immediate future to trade up to #1 overall for BY. our front offices & owners felt like hey guess what the time is now to srike while the iron is hot go hire an All Star coaching staff we were only a Qb away from taking that next step ..just saying

      I just dont get the worry over losing a practice squad player that just went undrafted. Everyone just made their selections. The chances of a team wanting to sign him to an active roster after not selecting him is very low.  If that interested they would have taken him late to evaluate in person. As far as I can tell two qbs were signed off another teams practice squad last season and they were both going in to their 5th season.

      I enjoyed reading this thread and the usual banter that follows. The only silver lining I can identify right now is we do actually have a couple of young QB's behind him and we do have a nice roster on both sides of the ball built around the most important position. So if the team overall shows some promise but we still falter largely due to a lack of consistent passing output (again) hopefully the decision makers can be free to make the best decision for the team going forward after the conclusion of this upcoming season.
