I mean yeah, he's averaging like 5 yards per attempt. That would've been terrible 20-30 years ago let alone in the modern NFL where all rules favor offense and particularly passing. Sure part of that is the offense and lack of weapons/protection, but a lot of it is still Bryce and his inability to threaten downfield. Plenty of other QBs throughout the years have done better with just as bad of a supporting cast and coaching.

Bryce Young's YPA is the second lowest in recorded history.  1st was Jawalrus' final season at 5.23 in 2009.  Derek Carr had a 5.46 in 2014.  Bryce is currently at 5.40.

It's bad.  It's also because of the personnel around him, but it's damn bad.

Firstly, this isn't statistically bad, this is historically bad.  Bad stats can happen.  But seriously, it takes a lot to end up at the bottom of a list of 431 names.  Think about some of the names on that list.  Tajh Boyd.  Bryce Petty.  Nathan Peterman.  These are bad, bad players . . . and BY is at the bottom.  That's scary.

Secondly, he's going to get next season to turn it around.  There is nothing we can do this offseason to fix the QB spot.  If you bring in a guy, Bryce is done.  Now maybe he should be, but I don't believe you can give up on a guy you invested that much in after only one season.  No!  It doesn't look good right now, but he should get that chance.

Finally, we have to be honest.  By the middle of next season, we will know about Bryce.  And if it's a bust, we have to be ready to call it a bust and move on.  Let's not hang on hoping for a miracle.

I watched that horror show yesterday, and honestly I wasn't sure if it was true about receiver separation and bad protection or because Bryce can't throw deep... but I was wrong, that man is working with absolutely nothing. Not saying he will improve, but I just can't make a judgment on him this year. It's a literal disaster.

Well, we do know that it's somewhere between quite a bit and a lot just from watching the games if we're being honest. The awful footwork. The jump passes. The misses. The bad reads leading to INTs. The constant checks (kill! kill! kill!) into ineffective runs and screens. 

Bryce has been bad, y'all. It's very obvious. Yes, the entire offense is also had and that's not all in Bryce. But Bryce is a big reason why this offense has been atrocious.

      Watching games this year again and Bryce missed a wide open XL many times and some of them were in the endzone. I get the kid has mental lapses and hasn't broke out yet, but this is year three on a rookie deal! Cutting bait now is too early. If he hasn't gained anymore trust from his QB, posted any highlights, little production, or outright gets beat out then we can talk movement.

      Samesies   I truly may just cash completely out of Panther football if we give him a long term deal that isnt necessary.  I have watched NFL for 50 years now and I can without a shadow of a doubt say you cannot win consistently with BY.  Way too many limitations to deal with.   I may come back around in 3 years when the inevitable happens and all parties are either cut and/or fired.  Giving him a deal before this season so you hopefully can get him cheaper in case he "blows up" or if you truly believe that he will has to be the most moronic decision a gm can make when the evidence is laid before you with different players

      This is the one! I was at that game and all KB had to do was lay down on the corner after the pick or make an obvious tag while he was down. He had already ran a lazy route. Then if Cam would've just walked to the sideline like most elite QBs instead of trying to make the tackle.  A lot of people bring up the TJ Watt hit, but he just reaggravated a bunch of scar tissue from that play. And every Cam hater said that the running did him in and it was a dive tackle attempt on an interception that initially began the shoulder deterioration. He still went to New England later and would've got them in the playoffs had their A team not sat out the covid year. We quit on him too early. But hey how good was Teddy? Am I right?
