I’m about 78% sure Kellen Moore will be the next head coach

He didnt want any HC job last year just not carolina

He didn't "pull himself from consideration" with the teams he did interview with until it was clear they were hiring other guys. Maybe something changes this year but I don't think he has any interest in coming here.

Bill O’Brien is a name to watch out for. Not saying I agree with it, but makes sense for several reasons.

The last person to have success with Bryce.
O’Brien the coach was actually successful with the Texans.
Has experience working with Tepper type personalities.

might actually check all the boxes. high on bryce, has experience at all levels....i don't know... why not? what's the worse that can happen?

This checks out because he's awful and i'll never know what this guy has done to warrant his job. As a Charger fan, that offense has regressed. Six points against the Patriots. They have all those weapons and they don't move the ball. Lol good luck. Quicker that mess it out of there the better.

Could be a situation where he’s strictly tied to the future of Bryce. If it works great. If not they’re both gone in a few years and we hard reset.

Hiring a coach just because they have worked with Bryce before would be such a tepper move

Tepper is a finance guy. He has to find a way to maximize his investment. Not saying that should be the move, but if we aren’t going to get any of the hot shot young coordinators then what’s the alternative?

as i'm sitting here this is making more sense to me.

you throwing all your hopes on this bryce young kid and you want someone to coach him that is just as sold on him as you are and who has had success...bill obrien fits.

Unless you have inside sources, this is speculation at its finest. However, I have heard from legit sources, that there will be north of 10 job openings this year. Let that sink in, 10. So in that regard, Moore could be a possibility as we will have to compete with a lot of teams for good candidates this time around. It is the main reason I am glad we let Reich go so early, it lets us get started earlier. I would take Dan Quinn over Moore, and Johnson and Johnson. At least we would have a coach with experience. I can’t seem to shake Belichick, that feels like the Tepper hire.

    • Just going off the draft sims and he's always sitting around 20 lol. First year in a while where we haven't been thinking about the draft already in late October so haven't really looked into the top 15-20 picks yet. Also the qb class is super weak so he probably will sneak up into 10-15
    • I fully expect them to pick up his 5th year , and they're waiting for him to put a full excellent consistent season of QB play in year 4 or 5. If that don't happen,  they'll eventually cut ties.  Here's to hoping he just goes on a team in 2026. The worst thing he could do is continue to see-saw us to around .500 records because it might be impossible to replace him at that point unless youre willing to do the veteran qb carousel poo we did from 2019 to 2023.
    • What do you think of Bryce Youngs career thus far? Are you excited about his progress or is it not enough for you? I included a poll of ranking his performance through 3 years thus far.  I personally think he's made some decent progress. Has had some high moments (last half of 2024, Rams game, ATL game in 2025)  but in my mind, those are still outweighed by the many more lowlights thus far (ex turnovers, missed throws, poor decisions)  It's a very mixed bag for me. He's done enough to get a 5th year option but by no means should we lock him in with a 50+ mil a year multi year deal. I want to see him play consistently well for a full year before that happens (yes, I'm still saying that going into year 4. That might be telling).  Just sucks when you see CJ Stroud, Jayden Daniel's, Caleb Williams almost immediately lighting poo up with their arm talent. Maybe Bryce is just an ultra slow burn. I don't know what to think anymore. Guess we're gonna be stuck with him for a whilr unless we end up being bad enough to earn a high pick next year. I doubted it lol. Overall Stats for his career:       ● 14 W - 30L (regular season)       ● 0-1 playoffs record        ● 61.4% completion, 8291 passing yards, 49 TDs, 30 INTs  Year 1:       ● 2 wins, 14 losses      ● 60% completion rate, 2877 passing yards, 11 TD to 10 INTs, 5.5 yards per attempted pass Year 2:        ● 4 wins , 8 losses        ● 60.9% completion rate,  2403 passing yards, 15 TD, 9 INTs,  6.3 yards per attempted pass  Year 3:        ● 8 Wins, 8 Losses         ● 63.6% competition rate, 3011 passing yards, 23 TDs to 11 INTs  Playoffs         ● 1 game in year 3 ( 0 - 1 in playoffs)         ● 21/40 (52.5% completion rate), 264 passing yards, 1 TD, 1 INT.
