maybe it has been discussed, but who do folks think is the O coach that went with Fitt to Tepper?

Caldwell

Brown

McCown

I would think it would have to be one of those 3.  McCown isn't here.  So I think that actually makes him less likely to be the guy.  Tepper seemed to agree with the insight.  That the footwork is an issue.  So I doubt Tepper allowed the guy who was "right" to be axed.  I'm thinking Jim Caldwell.  Who also got a slight bump.  They make sure to note him every time Tabor is mentioned as interim.

Caldwell and McCown are both good friends of Reich. Caldwell is actually the guy who got him into coaching. Definitely wouldn't be Capers either because he and Frank go way back.

The chief suspects would likely be Campen, Tabor, maybe Thomas Brown who probably didn't like losing the playcalling duties.

I don't know if they are good friends or not.  Maybe they are.  Maybe they aren't. All old heads in the NFL, know all the old heads.   Lot of folks know and work with each other in the NFL they probably ain't very tight in reality outside the scope of doing a job.   Just like everywhere else.  I mean, the NFL is a tiny network and place in reality.  McCown was employed with more than a quarter of the league.  I mean, his network of people who worked with is huge.   He likely has worked with coaches on every staff in the NFL.

In all honesty, Frank taking it back was the best thing that could of happened for Thomas Brown IMO.  He shouldn't be sore about that aspect.  Could be sore about never being able to do what he wanted despite being called the OC.

I personally still think it was odd those firing were initially tied to Caldwell to a large extent.  If Caldwell was such a big Frank/McCown guy.  I mean, at that point Caldwell would be agreeing to be the face of a Campen inspired movement?

anyway, at this rate of how the pooshow is going.....we might actually get it confirmed who is who and more details and events.

I'm in! Not likely to happen at all, but I would be happy if that happened. It probably says something that he is able to get something out of the defense with all the mess going on around him.

If you'd spent years building up to it, would you want your first head coaching opportunity tied to this toxic organization?

I'd say his smartest move is probably to get far away from here.

(and chances are, he'll have an opportunity to do that)

There is a military person on Staff.  Brian Decker, former Green Beret labeled as GM for special forces.  https://www.panthers.com/news/brian-decker-special-forces-staff-addition-vp-development-colts-green-beret

They should know better then.

we are about a Washington Football Team shitshow level where we have to bring in Ron Rivera to be the face and stabilize us

You know this team is at a all-time low when fans are asking for marty herniay and ron rivera.

One takeaway from this article that nobody else has mentioned...

We have a lot of leakers in the organization.

Under JR, the building was relatively tight-lipped. It now seems EVERYTHING gets leaked. Trade rumors, free agent interest, personnel decisions, business decisions, and now all of this drama.

The number one sign of dysfunction in an org is when folks start broadcasting the poo show.

Maybe.  I think there is something to this Caldwell/Tabor duo that emerged personally.   Remember, THEY are the ones that fired McCown.   That's how Carolina initially pimped it.   Tabor then sort of wanted to squash that narrative. Always thought it was weird they sort of wanted to plug Caldwell as almost the co-interim at first.  And their first move was to fire the guy directly in charge of the footwork.

Caldwell also has way more sway than Campen.  If you wanted to know what was going wrong....who would Fitt most likely talk to.  The former HC/guy overseeing it all as an advisor or Campen.  Well, Tepper was advised of what someone thought.

Tepper told Frank to keep Campen. They are buddies at this point. Who else would have Tepper’s # and enough familiarity to feel comfortable texting him that stuff?

Just my hunch. Who knows.
