He was hit sideways. Your neck can't absorb the impact nearly as well as it can front to back. Know someone that had a TBI that caused some memory issues and they haven't resolved 7 years later. Brain injuries are no joke.

The camera angle barely catches the slam, but he did hit his head hard on the play.

Thanks for the bad pass, Bryce!

I hope this doesn't mean we keep Ian Thomas any longer. That guy is the worst TE I've ever seen!

Damn so brutal, I’m in the camp of hang them up and work to recover and live a normal healthy life off the field. I liked the signing, wasn’t expecting him to be Olsen or anything but the best TE we’ve had since Greg. I don’t really blame him for the lack of production pre-injury. Seemed like both Bryce and Frank completely forgot about him after week 1.

Bryce has gotten 3 coaches fired and made a TE medically retire just slightly way passed the halfway point of his first szn

Personally I’ve become suspicious that’s he’s responsible for a number of oline injuries as well.

Wishing Hurst a quick and complete recovery.

He’s ended 3 careers, probably more bc no one on this team has any market value any more. I’m convinced this team isn’t even all that bad and wins 6-7 games with Frank and Andy.

Haven't read the article, but I'm assuming post traumatic amnesia would result from a concussion, right? If so, that's scary and I am sending positive thoughts Hayden Hurst's way.

I honestly think the NFL should be required to have some type of insurance policy and play for any players that get TBIs/concussion related diseases from playing

    • I mean the whole defense was trash, he was at least trying. Besides if you put a all-pro among 10 PSers, that all-world will look human. It's very hard to judge very bad units and find the best players among them. Horn and Mjack played well too, there was 0 pass rush and -1777784 run defense.
    • I was looking back and seen Evan Neal has made the switch to OG after awful years at OT.......I wanted him over Icky for his tricep alone..... I was 100% stroud too, I was super pissed about his record setting and playoff leading start......I had arich vastly over the midget BY too. But right now, BY is about the only one on the up&up. The Texans used lots of prime draft capital to help Stroud.  It's still not ready. But if you're honestly about past drafts, these GMs are not alone in making mistakes.  I still feel they should stayed put and allowed Carter to fall in their lap, but best I know Tepper had the worst rage about landing a QB for the past 5 years. The deal is with the correct coaching staff, Baker or darnold would still be here....Baker has signed 3 years for 100 million, which is a great NFL QB contract. Tepper hiring rhule and his shitty Baylor/temple staff was a massive setback given rhule was in control too. Then panic set in an d fitteerererererer had to make a winner and find a QB. Ugh.....I hope they are back...
    • Also maybe the biggest part is his fromer college buddy, Lord Lamar told the GM to sign him. It was done nearly right after and guess who was the first person Alexander met at ravens stadium??
