San Diego. Probably Delhomme's last good game that reminded you of the guy he was in 03.

Monday Night (or Thursday?) vs Buccaneers at home. I went to that game and it was incredible to see Stewart and Williams just completely destroy a defense like that. I think at that time Stew and DWill were top 5 RB talents on their own. Smitty had a great game too.

Delhomme really wasn't the same after the Tommy John Surgery huh

No not really. I've always wondered what the tell Jake had that the Cardinals keyed in on in the playoff game. It was mentioned in a post game interview, but it wasn't gone into detail.

Personally, I think it was a combination of him not being able to force the throws like he used to. Thus, it exposed his flaws processing the game, and he had an overreliance on Smitty.

Panthers v Bucs late in 2008 season.

They were battling for the division late in the season. DOUBLE TROUBLE (Williams & Stewart) go for 100+ each. Smith goes big with 100+ receiving.

Tied going into the 4Q. Beason & Davis were the wrecking crew. The DL led by Peppers destroys with the game on the line. Monday night game that made people talk about the Panthers as SB favorites.

Smith will remind you how a WR should run a route & destroy a secondary. You will see why a running game during the season is so important to division titles. Peppers will remind you why Burns is overrated. Gross will show you how a LT needs to block for a struggling QB (2 QB hits allowed). Otah will make you see what a young rookie 1st round tackle wearing 79 should play like to dominate in the run & neutralize the pass rush. The front 7 will show you how pressuring the QB quickly saves a sieve for a secondary.

You will be reminded what real championship football looks like & how we've all been gaslighted by the current organization.

Enjoy

San Diego, Chicago, Arizona (not that one), the season finale against the Saints, of course the Monday Night game against the Bucs

There was (I think) a 34-0 ass whupping of the Chiefs early in the year too.  That's a good one.

e2: Raiders if you want to see Jake Delhomme throw four interceptions and the Panthers pulling a win out despite that

Panthers vs Bucs on MNF is easily the best, most memorable game from that season.  Especially if you remember how we lost the first meeting that year.

The game against the Saints to close the season was awesome too.  Brees was chasing the record and Steve Smith was cooking

vs the Giants on SNF was great too.  Top two seeds.  We lost the game but it was still a fun watch.  Williams scored 3 or 4 TDs IIRC.

It was a Cam situation. He looked really solid the first half of the season, then the second half, starting in the Oakland game, just kind of started to fall apart. The run game and defense were strong enough to make up for it for a while but the playoff game was when everyone knew something was seriously wrong.

It's really a shame because Delhomme looked amazing in the first few games of 2007. 8 TDs, 1 pick before he got injured. If he's healthy, that 2008 team could have made a legit Super Bowl run.
