For at least next year, very.

I think it could be very possible hes moved now, if a new GM is convinced he's not the guy, while his value still might be sort of high.
I am worried they ONLY hire someone who is convinced he is the guy though.

GM is out and staff. Bryce will not be the next GMs pick. You think it’s possible he is moved for draft capital ? I just think people should accept this possibility since he’s now the old regimes guy.

He's not a lock on being the game one starter but he'll definitely be the #1 QB going into camp.

Safe

In terms of being on the roster next year. But in terms of being the long term starter? Definitely not safe.

The next gm and coach are extremely likely to bring in some qb competition for Bryce and make him earn his job. Whether that be a mid to late round drafted qb or a vet qb.

So maybe Bryce starts the year out, but if he's still performing like he did this year halfway through 2024?? He could be benched.

Not very safe in the big picture.

New HCs largely want their own QB.  That fits their own vision.  That starts a new time clock.  Young is inherited from someone else's mess.  So the changes are bad news for him and his career overall.

and you judge Bryce down the stretch.  We failed to score a TD in 4 of the last 5 games.  Shutout in the last 2.  Bryce got worse.  And Bryce has a lot of independent issues from the rest of the issues.  A new HC is going to have to arm this team with QB options even if Bryce is defaulted into the 1 to start it off.

Will wait to see who the new GM is. If it’s someone like Dan Morgan he’s more safe than he should be. The right answer is he’s the starter going into next season but should be evaluated critically with consideration towards moving on if there’s a repeat of this year and not much growth is shown.

    • You're assuming just as well.   Morgan and Canales were hired 3 days apart.  I believe it was partially due to their connections in Seattle.  i believe Tepper wanted some familiarity with his GM and HC.  It is so easy to sit back and arm-chair QB over draft picks.  You don't know what the philosophy was going into the 2024 draft.  I believe Canales and Morgan were drafting for the future.  XL and Brooks point to that philosophy. Name me one GM that is 100% on draft picks.  Just one.  You're not going to find one.    I think year one picks weren't for what can you do for me now but Potential.   XL hasn't lived up to the hype of a 1st rounder.  I think we all can agree on that. However, there still is hope he comes around.  What I believe they saw in him was his speed after the catch.  He needs to get more consistent but when he gets the ball you kind of hold your breath just a second because if he gets free, he's gone.  The Brooks pick was a signing for the future, and no one could have guessed he would re-injure the same ACL.  This makes the pick look bad but Dallas was ready to draft him later that same round.  IMO we'll have to see what happens next season before we can call this a bust. Wallace has improved each season and for a third rounder has done well.  Sanders has shown flashes and considering the pick in the 4th round it wasn't a bad pick.  His sophomore season IMO was a little bit more productive.  Smith-Wade has been a good addition and has played well.  For a 5th round pick to get as much playing time as he has.  Most picks below round 3 should take a couple of years to get up to speed.  He's been a decent player.  Crumedy, no comment We turned Barrett into Jackson.  This was an amazing move and basically got a starting CB for a 7th round pick.  Pretty shrewd if you ask me. Coker, maybe the best Free Agent signing of the 2024 draft class. So, in short, you can't say that the draft was a bust.  It isn't a home run but all but one are still on the team and outside of Brooks have made contributions to wins.  2025 draft class has been much better with almost every pick making contributions this season.  Now take Fitterer's two years and compare them to Morgan and tell me that they have the same philosophy.
    • He hasn’t led crap, he’s on loaded teams and a piece of the puzzle. And he’s he has improved drastically but it took the ultimate QB whispers in Shanahan and KOC. You put him on this Panther team and he’s back to normal Darnold
    • Slavin and Jarvis week to week. Florida cheap shots took out our two best players.  I’d start KK so he can beat the brakes off someone.
