Double edged sword though. If you refuse to let someone move on then it will be harder to find good people to come here. Generally if someone wants to move it is better to let them unless you want another Fox lame duck year.

There is no question in my mind that John Meacham is a loose cannon. Er,, ah ,, Dave Tepper. The difference between John Meacham and Jerry Jones.,  excuse me.  The difference between David Tepper and Jerry Jones is that Jerry Jones is not foolish in his decision making.

( in a fool’s world, the fool always thinks he is not the problem. )

The problem we have now is, reputation!  I have lost count, but there are several coach openings that are looking for a good quality coach. I saw an article today where Jim Harbaugh is interviewing for the Atlanta position.  if the Panthers did not have a bad owner reputation, I could easily see Jim Harbaugh interviewing for the Panthers job.

I think that Tepper needs to rebuild his reputation. He especially needs to rebuild his public image. He does not need to be filmed throwing water on a fan. I don’t care what kind of ah01e the fan was.  The person who retaliates is always the person who gets noticed.

I am seeing news article after news article on ESPN, etc. they talk all the time about which open coaching positions are the best. The best candidates are always going to go to the most attractive coaching positions.

Lateral moves have been denied, advancement opportunities are not allowed to be denied.

With Brown, we decided that we didn't want to be meanies and block him from a chance to work somewhere else.

I'm sure it's out of kindness 🫥

I would take some of what Josina tweets out with a grain of salt.

I see that Evero has interviewed with the Falcons and just read Thomas Brown is interviewing with the Bears.  I wonder who the "They" is in the statement she put out.  And I say statement because it has no reference to sources unnamed or otherwise.

Not  applicable to blocking a lateral move.

That's what folks need to understand, most NFL teams block lateral moves for assistant coaches.  We're in a different situation because we are without a head coach.  We did this before with OL and ST.  I'm not sure if it's common throughout the league, to hold old coaches for new HC and staffs.

I will say Evero and Tabor are great coaches, and I think any new HC would be thrilled to have them.  Then again, the NFL is an ego business...  So all bets are off.

Honestly, there's a lot of much ado about nothing because everyone is just dancing with different partners right now.  If Evero gets a HC gig, then he's gone.  If we hire a new HC and they want their own DC, then Evero will be DC else where.  It will all work itself out.
