Is there anyone that knows anything about football really think Dan Morgan can build an NFL roster?  If so, what track record says he can do anything here?

Tepper wants control and he is the worst owner in sports including Jordan and that shet is amazingly bad

John Lynch. Former players can be GMs. Just like they can be HCs. Bryce Young sucks.

I hope he is more Beane than Fitterer, but the lack of improvement of defensive personnel over the past 3 seasons doesn't speak well of him being like Beane. Too many misses at LB & leadership for me just as a starting point in the evaluation of Dan Morgan the executive.

Then you don't know Dan.

I know Dan and he is far from a yes man.

He is also one of the most competitive people that has ever walked in the stadium.

I hope it works out for him

I'll take your word for it. I wasn't crazy about the hire, but you know him and I don't. I hope you're right.

I bring the best out of people. Had to crack your shell. You do a lot of pooing with no responding. Glad to see you finally break that shell.

I'm hoping Morgan is the best GM possible. Just can't put faith into Tepper that's all.

I respond all the time. I mean you referenced a response of mine. Once someone has proven to be a brick wall, I stop banging my head against it.

You can bring the data and opinions to the boss but what Scott did was on him, Dan has never been in the position to make the final call till now.

Also, back in the day Dan hung out at more than one huddle tailgate and brought pizza.

This is a W day.

Unfortunately being competitive and being a good dude doesnt mean you are nesscesarily going to be good at your job.

Neither do any of the people here claiming he’s a yes man and a disaster of a hire.

No but we do know he’s been assistant GM for a team with the worst results in the league

    • Fug Em!   Lil bastard was milking injuries most of his time here. The moment he leaves he's all of a sudden a workhorse RB and a MVP candidate.   *Poo me up I'm a big boy I can handle it.
    • Another source: NFL Rumors: Hakeem Butler to Visit Panthers After UFL Success, Wade Phillips' Praise ZACH BACHAR JUNE 10, 2024 The Carolina Panthers are expected to conduct a workout with UFL wide receiver Hakeem Butler, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Butler recorded a league-leading 652 receiving yards as a member of the St. Louis Battlehawks. He was previously a fourth-round draft pick by the Arizona Cardinals in 2019. After the Battlehawks were defeated by the San Antonio Brahmas in the XFL Conference title game, Brahmas head coach and longtime NFL coach Wade Phillips told the receiver that "I'm going to tell everybody in the NFL that I talk to that you need to be playing," via Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk. Despite the loss by St. Louis, Butler still hauled in six receptions for a team-high 59 receiving yards. The 28-year-old was named the 2024 UFL Offensive Player of the Year, as he was one of only two wideouts to have multiple games with at least 100 receiving yards. While the Panthers added Diontae Johnson and first-round rookie Xavier Legette to their wide receiver room in the offseason, they could still use some depth in the form of Butler. Carolina isn't opposed to picking up former UFL players, as Rapoport revealed on Thursday that the team is also "expected" to sign All-UFL receiver Daewood Davis. Although Butler was selected by the Cardinals in the 2019 draft, he did not play as a rookie due to a hand injury and only appeared in two regular-season games as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles in 2020. He did not record a catch. Butler signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers during the 2023 offseason, although he ultimately didn't make the team's regular-season roster. At 6'5", he has the frame to potentially make an impact in training camp and earn a shot at making Carolina's 53-man roster. If his workout goes well with the Panthers, Butler could give himself another chance to possibly return to the NFL.
