I have no strong opinion of this move. I sort of think it's all a charade anyway. Nicole Tepper is really pulling all the strings.

Hence why no matter what happens, I really have no intention of blaming Dan Morgan for any of this future shitshow.

we know he thought this roster was good.  We know he thought it was young over stroud.

That alone is enough to say fug this

We do? He had NO say. He was an assistant. All he could offer was an opinion. Fitterer made the calls.

Morgan at least had helped put that bad roster together. He was the pro scout guy while Fitt was the college guy.

But even if Morgan was the "one voice of reason", the team needed a clean slate instead of hiring from within.

Chark, Thielen and Hurst were all good signings. Sanders too, arguably. They just didn’t work out because we had no one throwing them the ball and defenders could cheat against the run game because there weren’t going to be any catchable passes over 10 yards.

Is there a real possibility that nobody else wanted the job? Or did the others who interviewed forced Tepper to be to introspective to accept?

No. If someone is offered a GM job (or HC job) 99% of the time they accept. No matter how bad the roster is. There have been far worse than ours.

I think during one of the interviews, finsererererererererererer said " dan and i sat down and went over the roster" "we improved all the positions except one ". then the panthers went 2-15 and struggled to win those 2 given the last second FGs.

You don't need to know anything when you see it!

Wake tf up man! Are you blind or something? All you do is go around pooing people because they know Tepper is bad at his job. You expect people to believe in whatever he touches is just flat out ignorant. How about sit back and be quiet. You can't question the fans who see Tepper for what he is a bad owner.

I give out a lot more pie than I do poo. Just when I see especially ignorant or egregious posts they get the poo.

No one here saw Morgan say behind closed doors our roster was fine or pick Bryce over Stroud.

I don’t get this Tepper narrative.  Tepper has no problem scrapping a plan and going in a new direction.  He has a thousand faults as an owner.  That doesn’t seem to be one.  His Panther history, FC history and just generally business from RH  to Eastland to whatever.  Tepper changes and moves on as quick as anyone in the NFL

We will see how quick he is to change his mind on the super processor when the panthers  start out 1-4 next year and Young looks terrible.

Then you don't know Dan.

I know Dan and he is far from a yes man.

He is also one of the most competitive people that has ever walked in the stadium.

I hope it works out for him

This! He was never a Yes man and  he was often the only dissenting voice in the room. Hopefully he can now turn things around

    • He talks way too much about his time in Seattle and Russell Wilson and how they built that team in 2012.   I won’t fall for any of it until I see them play for a year
    • Lol people like you are so silly and the only reason I seem to care to log on to post these days. How can you sit there and say Bryce was the reason Williams hurt his knee on that play. Maybe it's because you dislike Bryce so you are somewhat blind as to what actually happened? Not quite sure but maybe you should get your eyes checked. Williams hurt himself by trying to make a cut after spinning around to make that catch. Pause it at 3:24. Had he landed and ran like normal instead of going to plant his foot in the ground and make a cut he doesn't get hurt. Don't put that on Bryce. That was 100% Williams fault he got injured
