It's funny we have people that while lamenting we are the worst franchise still expect some magical young genius and have a superbowl or bust mentality. We are in a hole and need serious work to get out.

Bingo. We are such a deplorable poohole of a team that no one will want to coach, but then we say no to every candidate that comes around and wants to coach this team lol.

From John Ellis

Let me connect a few potential dots:

Titans VP of Player Personnel Ryan Cowden was in Carolina's front office during Dan Morgan's playing days.

Recently, Tom Pelissero reported Mike Vrabel prefered Cowden as Titans GM:

"Tennessee hired Carthon a year ago over in-house candidate Ryan Cowden, whom league sources believed to be Vrabel’s preferred candidate."

.500 win percentage, no consecutive winning seasons, and playoffs every three years or so, and no Súper bowls. (In case you missed the two decades we did that.)

I'd be ecstatic to experience the playoff runs we had again.

Exactly.  No magic  bowling ball is gonna fix this mess immediately. Crazy that we as a fan base are longing to achieve the mediocrity we loathed just a few seasons ago.  But here we are.

I would be just fine with Vrabel has HC. Honestly, his kind of personality is what we need just to get out of the basement and be somewhat competitive again.

Give me Vrabel, Evero, and Arthur Smith. I'll gladly watch them run the ball 40 times per game and compete for the NFCS  with 7-9 wins per year for a few years. Maybe then we can actually have some type of culture and get a Ben Johnson type guy.

Maybe it’s because I’m old and seen the movie too many times, but waiting a decade to lose a Super Bowl just doesn’t do it for me anymore.
Some people are content to ride the C+ average to a high school diploma. I want better.

    • Do you see the vision?  As of now our Carolina Panthers don’t have an identity. We are not an offensive powerhouse and on defense we only started getting it together towards the end of the year last year. In my opinion we are much closer to having an incredible defense that scares the daylights out of people. I say the answer is simple and we fully commit to that possible identity.    Emmanuel McNeil Warren (E man)  This guy is like a shark lurking around ready to attack anyone. Fearless. He is easily a top 20 talent in my eyes, and the only reason he isn’t more talked about is because he’s from Toledo. Do your due diligence as panther fans and watch his tape I beg you. Once you’re done watching let me ask you this, if you dropped E - Man into the strong safety spot on the Buckeyes, he isn’t being talked about as one of the best prospects we’ve seen in some time given the skill set you see with this guy? I think so. Put his name on the card and turn it in at 19.    Jacob Rodriguez  High effort, High energy, High IQ guy that flies around the field. We all know Jacob at this point. My only concern is he’s a little bit too good and I’m not sure he makes it to us at our pick in the second. With the additions of Jacob and E- Man I think our defense goes to top 5 in the league. We would have a duo of linebackers that rival anything we’ve had in our past. I’m not a GM so I don’t know what the possible answer could be, but if there’s a way we can comfortably trade up in the second to secure this guy I think we find a way to do it.    Spend the rest of our picks fixing the O - line.    Thoughts Panthers fans? Who’s the ideal duo for yall?
    • OL is arguably much more important to the success of a young QB. (Or any QB)
    • Didn’t get around to watching this one but looks like Pistons played their starters and actually tried…? Unlucky that they sit vs Magic, etc and try vs us. Hopefully we can beat the Heat and then Magic or 6ers with no Embiid. BUT if not, the NBA really should give us the lottery win this year like they did Mavs last year. Another high pick could be our final missing piece and have us as legit top contenders next year and going forward if we’re healthy. Or trade it for a Giannis type
