Wonder if Canales pursues Larry Izzo, the Seahawks ST coach. Seattle’s ST unit ranked 6th and 3rd in Rick Gosselin’s annual ST rankings in 2023 and 2022, respectively. Izzo’s been the Seahawks’ ST coach for the past 6 years so presumably knows Canales.

Correcting my above note, Izzo’s been in Seattle for 6 years but has only been their ST coordinator since 2021. Still think he could be a logical candidate given the uncertainty in Seattle.

Fun fact about Izzo. You can list his pro bowls as a special team ace, but do you know what his greatness feat as a player was??

Noope all wrong. Izzo claim to fame was not wanting to leave the sideline during a game(in case STs were needed), so he used a cooler to take a dump on the sideline and no one caught him in the act....

Good and honestly I don’t care if they keep Evero either. Evero did a great job but having been on the staff the year before it might create division on the coaching staff

I feel our ST was pretty solid with him after many years of pretty bad ST play.  Maybe we'll get someone better I guess.
