thats an awful opinion.

Show me how they arent, basically the exact same career stats.

And hell while your at it you can lump Baker in with them.

All mediocre QBs who are overpaid.

If we ever hit on a real elite QB we dont have to worry about any of them.

Kirk   He threw for 39,471 yards and 270 touchdowns. He was selected to play in 4 Pro Bowls.

Derek : He has thrown for 39,100 yards and 242 touchdowns. He was selected to play in 4 Pro Bowls.

Ok:

Cousins has started fewer games(145 to 159, nearly a season less), thrown more TDs (270 to 242), higher YPA (7.6 to 7.1), Higher QB Rating (98.2 to 92.3), and a better record as a starter (76-67-2 vs. 72-87).

They are not the same.

Baker got more playoff wins than both of them combined in less time in the league though.  I'd put Baker in sort of a different tier.  I think his rollercoaster play allows a team to reach a technically reach a higher level than the other two.

Lol by a few points here and there?

The lead to the same place QB purgatory. 10 wins early playoff exits at best.

Same type of QB.

If you were putting QBs in tiers they are in the same tier, below the elite QBs.

Does Carr get any bonus points for having to deal with the Davis family?

I dont think anyone in the organization cares who wins the division this year, we are clearly in tank mode

The Panther way.

Most orgs tank to get a #1 overall QB type player

Panthers get the the #1 overall QB and then tank

He is all around more efficient than Carr. He has put up the same stats in fewer games than Carr. Kirk Also has a better career TD to INT %.

Kirk is a top 10 QB by all metrics hovering around 7-10 consistently. You can win a SB with that kind of QB Play.

Having said ALL of this, Kirk, like the Falcons, has a reputation of choking when it matters. So either it's a match made in meme heaven for everyone but the Falcons, or their anti-clutchness cancels each other out and they are actually good.

In theory just looking at the stats yes, but then you realize its Kirk Cousins and you snap back to reality.

Carr has also been in the same range 10-15......its not a drastic difference.

    • Wow I can’t believe the panthers tried to trade up, failed, but still got the guy they wanted to trade up for. I wonder if anyone else has ever said that next you’ll tell me they had Hunter and Brazzell graded as first rounders.
    • I don’t think people are saying that picking up the option is a call for the pitchforks. We would have had to do things differently a couple of years back to make declining the option a valid move. We didn’t and here we are. People largely accept that. The pattern it adheres to, reinforces the nausea we feel when the idea of an extension, and at top of the market no less, comes up.  One that he hasn’t shown he deserves.   Same as he did not deserve to be drafted 1.1. Look at Pavia and what really is the difference? Bryce is a nice guy and Pavia is an asshole lol. They are both no margin for error non day one talents. One went undrafted.  Probably should have been drafted day three anyway. The other was way over drafted.
    • We hate losing. I don't know Bryce to hate him. His play as a QB, I absolutely hate. It's just not good enough. If there were a lottery held to select the order and all 32 starting QBs could be drafted as the starting QB for whatever team selected them, how long do you think it would be before Bryce's name was called? Top 10, top 20, bottom 8? Think about it.  For me, having never seen back to back games with franchise QB level performance in 3 years tells me what I need to know. We still need to be looking for our solution at QB.
