We don't agree a lot, but you make a good point here. I can't really disagree with you on this one.

I've had him in fantasy for at least 3 of his seasons so far, maybe even a 4th, so I've tracked him week by week a lot.  Elite talent and a super tough guy as he is able to gut it out and play even when injured, but far too often he ends up not being a useful player on the field because of it.

If he was willing to sign a cheap 1 year prove it deal to try and bank in next season, then I'm all for signing him.  But I have a feeling someone out there is going to offer a multi year deal at $10+ a season, actually thought he was going to go to KC before they went and got Hollywood, that would have been a great fit.

I'd rather go after Gallup, who while he's also had similar injury issues as Williams, he'll probably come at half the price, thus making the risk far easier to swallow than what Williams could be, which is a an oft injured big cap hit.

For those not wanting to give folks clicks what does it say?

The first was that Morgan apparently liked a post about going after Williams and the latest was that we're brining him in for a visit.

Gallup is not the potential monster down the field that Williams is though. I think we need a tall bigger guy.

Not like Bryce has the arm to take advantage of what Williams can do downfield

again, I think Williams is a beast, I just don’t think the contract it will take to sign him is worth the risk for where this franchise is right now.  He’s a high risk, high reward signing, that’s what contending teams go after, not ones in our state of a rebuild.

There are just so many X WRs in this draft, it makes signing Williams less necessary. I think Keon Coleman, Adonai Mitchell, Xavier Legette, or even Johnny Wilson could fulfill our need for a bigger WR. Plus, it would be on a rookie contract and someone to grow with our offense.

Another damn good point Bryce lacks arm strength!

Man you been on fire tonight. You talking some sense into me. I'm seeing the vision and Mike just doesn't seem like the best fit for us. Good talent, but the QB is probably not the best fit for his strengths.
