Get ready for flag football

Seriously? This would be ridiculous if this were to go into effect. I played WR Div 1 in 99-2003 and would have LOVED some of these rules. Basically, just let me catch the ball and if you touch me you get flagged. What a goofy crock of poo if true.

They're super duper worried about injuries - but still don't outlaw turf.

Makes sense.

First thing your taught playing rugby league hit around the waste and slide down the legs. You can’t run without legs

Must be an Australian thing.

We were always taught "man and ball". You wrap up high to stop the offload.

I'd say we've already entered into the flag football era that ship has sailed. The league can't even get calls right or decide on what is or isn't a catch with high resolution camera angles all over the field. No sense getting upset about it now.

Yeah that’s up in age. But 2 man tackles first one low then second up high to stop offload. She’s all up high in the pros they’re to good at getting the offload away.

Watch golf

Dont care for it

But having seen things like Joe Theismann's bone coming out of his leg and Damar Hamlin laying on the field for what seemed like an hour and Daryl Stingly never getting up I dont need/want to see any more career ending injuries.

Want bloodsport?  Go watch MMA.

If enough emasculated males in sports media complain loudly enough, NFL will changes its rules to oblige them. Soys boys who never played sports trying to tell NFL LBers how to tackle a horse like Derrick Henry. How embarrassing.

During a conference call ahead of the Annual League Meeting -- in which owners will vote on 10 proposed changes -- NFL executive vice president of football operations Troy Vincent reiterated the importance of a player safety-focused change, again stressing the hip-drop tackle is "something we want to get out of the game."

"The greatest asset for any athlete is durability and availability," Vincent elaborated, via ESPN's Kevin Seifert. "When you have a play that has a 20-25 times the injury rate, it doesn't allow you to fulfill your dreams."
