Then you weren't paying attention. If there was anyone on the defense being game planned around it was DB.

thank you. it was clear about 7 games into his rookie season dude was a star. i remember huddle shrieking over his sack numbers year 1/2 and completely ignoring everything else. happy for d brown

B+ off season.  Wish luvu would have stayed but feeling good bout this off-season. Nail the draft and we got a A. Brown turned it on last season. Bad team and he gave consistent effort unlike a certain someone.

Morgan hasn’t made a bad move yet.

He even managed to make a chicken salad sandwich out of a chicken poo situation Fitts left with Burns.

Yep. Brown was in the same situation as Half Ass Spiderman and played like a man.

No brainer. It's well deserved.

There are a few (or more) in this forum that are responding enthusiastically or supportingly to this extension who, considering their hypocrisy on this matter, should be hanging  their heads in shame.

(Not pointing fingers at you TD.)

If we would have been able to keep Luvu I would give us an A offseason but I realize he clearly wanted a change of scenery and Morgan tried to make a last minute push to sign him, so we we cannot blame Morgan for that. A very solid foundation has been placed, especially if we can get back to landing starters through the draft, something we have really been horrible at the last few years.

In the end, we keep the lead-by-example man on the line and moved on from Burns who played hard 10% of snaps and can't do much more than rush the QB during meaningless moments of the game.

    • I do think 8 wins is the top limit for this group. Honestly them not winning a game has similar odds.   So 0-8 is the range. Add in the owner, last six years, No real first pick while nfc south had theirs among other low picks aka they got better, lost Burns, luvu, djak and others solid vets(boz, bell, etc). Last second FG wins, never lead in the 4th, didn't score a single point the final 2 games. Im going with 2 dubs and I hope a surprise 8 wins claims the NFC south as they label the Panthers as the worst playoff team in NFL history!!
    • Well we are in agreement overall on that decision just looking at the fallout differently.  I am not a personal fan of Williams from a few quotes I’ve run across but we weren’t taking him so I ignored him as a prospect. I never look at QBs unless we are looking.    But if things align a certain way this turns historically bad. The kind of thing children will read about when they grow up.
    • DL doesn't look bad compared to other groups- Turtle, Dbrown, Clowney, Robinson, and wonnum. That's 5 guys that are or have been solid or above average for most of their careers. In fact Id say its the strength of the panthers. No ones too old or coming off a bad injury.  Depth-wise it is down right bad, just need to avoid injuries much like LB. I agree with you about finding just win, I got them match last seasons 2 wins.  *I still feel NFC south is wild enough that if the planets align, panthers *could cash in their lotto ticket winner and shock the world. Cousins setback and penix sucks. LOL @ carr and HC Dennis Allen. TB used their luck and bakers play comes back to earth. Young shows he deserves that #1 pick and evero calls a masterful year.......... .0000000001567399% chance. Thats the best I can hope for, tons of miracles.....
