According to Legette, Panthers will draft Legette at #33

Plus, there's a lot of talk about the possibility of 14 WRs taken the first 2 rounds.

14.

Wanting to sit back and wait for a WR in the 3rd round is going to be a mistake . If we have 2 WRs we want in this draft, we better damn make sure we take them in the 2nd and then roll with that BPA thing after.

yep, I'm all about the WR double dip.  Skill position O overall in the draft.  Throw a bunch young talent out there against the wall.  Something will stick/hit.

go rent Gilmore and rent a backup C in FA.

Good few OCs will be taken in this draft. Might see a vet get cut. Maybe.

But get Gilly after the draft and just roll with all offensive playmakers this draft. Throw them all out there and have some real competition.

I think we could very well draft XL in the 2nd round, but I think it's more likely to be with #39. I think we go defense with #33, trade down, or take a higher-rated WR prospect who falls out of the 1st round.

This all the way, or a center at 33.

Indeed he was extremely high on a Shi Smith. I have not stated Steve Smith was high on “these guys” as you say. He was definitely high on Shi Smith. That does not make his “Steve Smith’s” opinion meaningless. It just goes to show that sometimes even knowledgable people are not always 100% right.

Very high to extremely high...

He also still only had him ranked as wr 10 or 11.  So people acting like Smith's words praising him are gospel are still wanting the 10th or 11th best wr according to Steve at 33.

that is exactly how I feel.  I would love him at 65.

I agree, super likable guy, exciting to watch, but still raw despite being older. Wouldn’t take him in round 2, but would consider in round 3 if he’s there because  the Panthers need day 1 starters with the two 2nd rounders. And he’s not a day 1 starter.

That was just a start.

The idea that no one has him going in the first round is....well...just wrong.

Those are mock drafts and in a scenario where there is a crazy run on WRs, he could sneak into the back half of the first round. Is that likely?  I'd put a 1% chance on it.

I'm familiar with that draft site and they have HUNDREDS of mock drafts, so yes, you can find some with some outliers.

Same website.

Average Big Board is #47 and average mock is #51 to the Steelers.

Mocks can be realistic or completely nonsensical and everything in between.  I can can trade to #1 overall and have the Panthers take Caleb Williams.  Realistic?  Not a damn chance.
