David Tepper's Dilworth Drop-in

Tepper really needs a PR guy or something. He had nothing to gain from doing this encounter. Like it was harmless, but like don't roll up to a place in your murdered out vehicle and come inside and immediately start looking for names. Then disrespecting the owner in front of all the customers like some passive aggressive mob boss and then just leaving. At least greet the fans who may be watching the draft there. Tell them we going to pick a good player or something. I feel that's what the other owners would've done at least.

Looked like an Eagles hat the guy was wearing. Nothing wrong with giving a guy a hard time about wearing another team’s gear in the home city of your team. In fact, it should be the standard to boo those wearing other teams’ gear in Charlotte. It’s not as much fun if no one cares about those things.

If you walk up to a stranger in a bar and take their hat off their head, you should not be surprised if you get punched in the face

Tepper kind of dumb, he doesn't have to, but he really should've just bought everyone in there watching the draft a round of drinks. It costs him the equivalent of less than a penny and would give a better story than this. Greet the fans, tell them we going to draft some great players we can all be proud of. Some may even find him cool after that and help rebuild his image a bit for nothing.

    • I think what makes a qb elite is when every week you think your team has a chance to win because of your qb. No matter who they play, they always make you feel like you have a chance. I have not gotten that feeling once while watching Bryce.
    • Great point!  The quotes from O'Connell about teams failing rookie Qbs and the one about how you coach them after 3 picks and a loss were really interesting.  To me, an idiot with a keyboard, it means NFL teams need to be patience if they are going to have quality QB play. So bringing me to Bryce, is there some benefit to being patient.  I know it's not a particularly popular opinion around here, and even I am having a hard time wrapping my head around it.  Most QBs, when benched lose their confidence.  It takes a LONG time to get it back.  Bryce on the other hand was benched, and came back a different player.  I feel like that's worth a lot more than the physical talents of a guys like AR15... I think Bryce has the mental make up to be a good NFL QB.  His problem will always be his tools.  Now it's on coaching to work around that.  Bryce is more physically gifted than late years Drew Brees (low bar, I know).   While I'm content to see what happens this season, there's a small part of me that says...maybe we should see what grows?  (let me duck and hide from the well earned vitriol the Panthers have earned). Then again, I agree that some guys get it while others just don't.  I'm still hoping for the Panthers and Bryce to find success this season.  But if not, I won't be too surprised if the plug is pulled and there is a restart.
