Teppers in yalls heads....

I've always loved Dan Morgan Cannales is the first coaching hire I've liked....

I also liked Legette and Brooks pre-draft....

And unlike many here I think it's too early to Right off Bryce Young...  they are giving him tools to succeed in my book, I expect the offensive line will be top 10 this season if it stays healthy....   Johnson-Theilen-Leggete and Brooks combined with a good Oline and he has no excuses this season.

Tepper is the reason I switched my season tix from panthers to canes.  fug him. That fuger ruined the panthers experiance for me so yeah. I hate him.  As far as Bryce, he was terrible last year with Theilen as his only weapon. If he sucks this year… you move on immediately.

I really thought we'd take Adonai Mitchell. Oh well.

I was hoping the Legette stuff was smoke. Mitchell is going to be very good. He produced every time he was on the field. Way more credentials than Legette. You’d think this team would go get a more polished commodity at WR after drafting a projects like Mingo and TMJ, but hey, that’s why this is the worst team in the NFL and the owner throws drinks at fans and complains about signs at local restaurants.

Adonai Mitchell is going to be very good in Steichen’s offense. He made a lot of plays for Texas last year. More polished route runner than Legette by a thousand times. Panthers make the wrong pick again.

He's a good compliment to Pittman while Downs works the slot.  Pierce can come in for 4 WR sets.  Their WR room looks great for Richardson.

there’s the issue, this isn’t the way the draft works.
your approach is confined to “well I just wanna get a good player bro”

but that’s not the way teams draft.

you have to deploy assets relative to value. Quality center play can be bought for cheap at anytime. You can’t just go out and buy high end touchdown scorers or quarterback sackers without making a massive investment-except for the draft. Setting a pick on fire to take a center (and then probably having to overpay him in his second contract because of pedigree) may make fans feel good because they don’t have to worry about getting a BUST but you’re not building a sustained championship caliber roster that way.

No offense, but this team has tried to replace Kalil for years with no success.  Second the most interchangeable position in the NFL, which bargains can be found everywhere is the running back.

Agreed.

It's interesting seeing some of the same folks screaming at the top of their lungs at others in gameday threads last year that the OL was why Bryce Young struggled so badly are now mocking others for wanting to solidify the center position.

Rome wasn't built in a day. We all knew before this draft that we weren't going to be able to fix everything. At this point, you just have to trust that they know what they're doing with their board. Why the weeping and gnashing of teeth? AC is our center.

    • His physical attributes aren't going to change on a new team so I have no idea how he would pan out elsewhere but I can logically assume those issues he has had with processing which was supposed to be his key selling point before the draft would follow him. He was also supposed to be someone who thrives when the play breaks down but he has been inconsistent at best on that and at times horrific. I think where we each take a fork in the road on the determination of Bryce Young currently is you seem to still be treating him as a rookie and not a third year QB still repeating the same mistakes while showing that he has no arm talent to overcome even the slightest bit of adversity. I've said all along his rookie year and his sophomore season that I would be willing to overlook his interceptions if he was pushing the ball downfield consistently and even if he turned the ball over forcing a pass here and there to keep defenses honest I would accept it. But he has nothing. There is no deep passing game here. He threw the ball 55 times in Arizona which was 30 more times than Kyler Murray and only had a little over 100 more passing yards than him. Legitimately you should read that again and ponder it. That is embarrassingly atrocious. Circumstances here are not ideal with the WR's and OL but we cannot normalize this. It is horrendous. And we need to swallow our pride and begin scouting QB's for the 2026 draft. In the meantime this cannot continue on much longer for the sake of the locker room. And the upcoming schedule isn't going to get any better. If there is a silver lining to any of this we are going to find out just who Dave Canales really is throughout the rest of the season. He isn't getting a pass either.
    • I don't hate it but.....  eeeh it would take acquiring Kaprizov without giving up svech to make rod try Jarvis at 2C. Svechnikov/Aho/Kaprizov  Ehlers/Jarvis/Stankoven
    • Given the fact he declined buku bucks over on the HOF hockey board most don't think they will even get svech..... (not even canes fans) The $$$$ tag plus lack of leverage for Minny could end up seeing him dealt for somthing around what we got for Ranttanen....
