How short a leash will Young be on?

The team has done everything they could to help him succeed. MOST aspects of the offense have been upgraded. If he can't do the job with this group, then it's obvious he isn't the guy.

How far into the season does he have to prove himself?

Very short

the coach he has now  has applied measurements to him.  If he doesn’t show improvement week over week, If he can’t hit those by 3/4 of the season, he will be benched

improvement and winning are the name of the game now

I ask myself, Morgan wants ‘dawgs’.  Is Young a ‘dawg’ or a ‘dog’.  I see the latter, not the former.

there is not much we can do--pull him for Dalton?  Most first rounders get 2 seasons.  It could be a "worst case scenario" that he improves to mediocre.  Tua in Miami won about 11 games last year.  However, they have weaponry out the arse.

What you see from Young is not what the team and his teammates see.

He doesn't have to prove anything to the fans.  His focus is to the team.

Ask Zack Wilson, Mack Jones, Sam Darnold,  and a plethora of other QBs in the league

the team, and the grown men who play to get paid on it, depend on hitting personnel incentives and team incentives …much driven by qb performance

this is a business…perform or be gone

the fans do play part in it as they will not pay to see incompetence…over and over and over again.

fair or not, and we know life isn’t fair, production is expected from what is typically the  highest paid position on the field

don't know about you but I have no more fugs to give with young

Time for participation trophies is over

We'll see. No one thought Jayden Daniels was gonna be the #2 overall pick this time last year. No one would've predicted Joe Burrow being the #1 overall pick a year prior.

True, most aren’t the Luck, Trevor, etc pathway where they are penciled in from High School.

add Cam Newton to the list with Burrow and company.  Cam probably has one of the , if not the greatest college season of all time entering the NFL

It wouldn't be at all surprising to me to see a guy like y'all's Klubnik or Texas' Ewers or Beck at UGA or some guys who are just completely off my radar blow up and have great years and be right there in the mix at the top of the draft next year.

Beck is going to be interesting to watch.  He is big and does it all.  Just need to see more from him.  Ewers throws a beautiful ball as well

Ewers and Klubnik both were the #1 QB recruits in the respective classes. It wouldn't be a shock at all for them to end up highly drafted. That was always the expectation.

Bing

go.

In the locker room, they want to win to win, but this is their paycheck.  their career. Their bank account. If they see last year’s Bryce for the first 4 games in a row… it’s not going to be a patient environment…. And it’s not just the players. The front office is the same way.

    • I mean the whole defense was trash, he was at least trying. Besides if you put a all-pro among 10 PSers, that all-world will look human. It's very hard to judge very bad units and find the best players among them. Horn and Mjack played well too, there was 0 pass rush and -1777784 run defense.
    • I was looking back and seen Evan Neal has made the switch to OG after awful years at OT.......I wanted him over Icky for his tricep alone..... I was 100% stroud too, I was super pissed about his record setting and playoff leading start......I had arich vastly over the midget BY too. But right now, BY is about the only one on the up&up. The Texans used lots of prime draft capital to help Stroud.  It's still not ready. But if you're honestly about past drafts, these GMs are not alone in making mistakes.  I still feel they should stayed put and allowed Carter to fall in their lap, but best I know Tepper had the worst rage about landing a QB for the past 5 years. The deal is with the correct coaching staff, Baker or darnold would still be here....Baker has signed 3 years for 100 million, which is a great NFL QB contract. Tepper hiring rhule and his shitty Baylor/temple staff was a massive setback given rhule was in control too. Then panic set in an d fitteerererererer had to make a winner and find a QB. Ugh.....I hope they are back...
    • Also maybe the biggest part is his fromer college buddy, Lord Lamar told the GM to sign him. It was done nearly right after and guess who was the first person Alexander met at ravens stadium??
