2 Different players

Lawson is 6’2 or so… 265lbs. Missed most of last year with an injury- 29 years old. Not flashy but had 7 sacks 2 years ago and was pretty good vs the run.

Yannick is at least 20 pounds lighter (also about 6’2)and more of a speedy sack specialist. He has had 9.5 and 10 sack seasons in the past but only had 4 in 13 games last year. Also 29

The Panthers, since Tepper took over haven't been the next shot for underappreciated athletes like we'd hoped. We've become the "last stop for a big paycheck before retirement team."

We really would be better served by picking up more rando UDFA at this point and giving them a try out than flinging a couple more million at some almost coulda beens that are at the end of their leash.

Invest in our own future, not in some other team's past.

    • There was some pretty egregious missed calls vs the Chiefs in the Lions game, especially Kelce. The completion where he clearly used the ground to catch the ball. The hold in front of the ref as Pacheco ran by where the defender was trying to turn around and couldnt because Kelce had him by the jersey. Mahomes openly taunting after scoring a TD. 0 penalties after double digit the week before. Cmon.
    • People get trade happy and look at resources as barter items. They fail to see them as resources to be used to our benefit rather than someone else's. Right now, Chuba and Rico are massive benefits to us and a strong rushing attack so greatly benefits any passer, much less a young one like Bryce still is.  And the better our running game, the more our offense can eat up the clock, the less time our defense is on the field. And that is priceless, too. Don't mess with the running game. Don't mess with the receivers. Maybe look at our O-line and think we may have hit on something good during these injuries. Look at our D-line and seem some strength evolving there. Our secondary has its good spots and some that are still developing. Our linebacking corps did well this last outing. Our special teams are on a major upswing as of this past week. Heck, even our QB is showing us a little something right now that we can build on. Perhaps putting out a yard sale sign right now might be less advantageous than looking at the team and saying, "You are all part of something good that is happening. We want to see that continue to grow."
