With 12 plays, Bryce Young and starters showed real signs of progress

It doesn't take being a coach or player to see that this offense is worlds ahead of what we have seen under Rhule and Reich. When was the last time we used multiple motion looks pre-snap to manipulate the defense. And doing that in the preseason. I think previous coaches tried to simplify things to avoid mistakes. To the point defenses could easily exploit it especially with their poor use of talent as well.

How many players have suddenly looked better than they did before. Add the upgrade in talent and the fact QBs often experience their biggest improvement between year 1 and 2.  And you have a team that will be improved no doubt. The bigger question especially on the offensive side is given how behind we have been compared to competent offenses, will it translate to more wins? But Canales previous successes give me hope. Now let's see what happens.....

Yes it's pre season yeah they were backups but let's be real that's the first time since BY was drafted that we looked like an NFL offense the play design the execution ect. It was nice to see I'm very cautiously optimistic Hunt at RG was as advertised if we can keep the line healthy (huge if) I think some great things can happen an elite interior is a smaller QBs biggest plus.

I think Zavala went to the crossroads at midnight and made himself a deal because no one looks as bad as he did last year and goes straight to looking like he could be a player.

The Bryce part, if his footwork holds up under duress and doesn’t revert to that mess that goes back pre draft, maybe he can stick.

I do not like sacrificing half the field though, with a rollout offense.

I really like the way Canales is teaching his offense. He has found a way for the players to learn and still be fast. We all know that playing fast is always better than having to think about their responsibilities on each play.

you build an action, once they have that .. then you build onto that action

    • I'm happy with TMac, but Tyler Warren was last season's Tyler Linderbaum for me in that he was at a position that wasn't one of the five pillars but he was the best player at his position AND one of the top talents in the draft. I cannot fuging wait for the Panthers to start winning again so that those guys fall to us like they seem to for teams like Baltimore & Philadelphia.
    • Still working on consuming all of these so I don't have summaries available, but I figured there might be another Huddler or three trying to kill time before tonight's final preseason game.   Panthers Blueprint: Training Camp The in-house produced Blueprint series has given behind-the-scenes look on the field and off. Start the day with Robert Hunt's family, be in the morning meetings, mic'd up players during practice (Jaycee, Rozeboom, Icky, and Bryce), roster evaluations by the staff, and plenty of camp highlights capping off with FanFest.   Processing Blue (Mike Kaye & Alex Zietlow Mike and Alex are back talking about a variety of topics including but not limited to: joint practice + preseason game vs. Houston, Trey Hendrickson trade rumors involving Carolina, training camp awards, draft pick draft, and various thoughts about the team.   Jordan & Jake 706: Opening Day Another in-house Panthers' production, the most recent episode of Jordan and Jake talk about how to properly balance intensity in practice, react to the starters being shutdown for the preseason finale, share their thoughts on the newest Panther QB, and more.   Raw Room - Ep 278 - Gas Pedal (ft. Mike Davis) Assistant special teams' coach Darren Bates' Raw Room podcast has former Panthers' RB Mike Davis on his weekly podcast. I'm about halfway through this one and it's been a lot of fun. The Raw Room guys (DB, his friend Alex Sweets, former Eagles/Chargers OT King Dunlap, and former Atlanta DB Jalen Collins) are hilarious and Mike fits right in. They talk about his football experience coming up, decommitting from Florida and how he decided on South Carolina, and more. Warning: If you're the type of person that is easily distracted by accents, despite XL being on the team, you might have issues with understanding the Memphis dialect. If you don't care about how somebody talks, just what they're talking about, tune in!
    • Allen was borderline unplayable in College.  He's an absolute unicorn in terms of his career panning out the way it has.
