Whoever that was he doubled down on it by saying ND shouldn’t score a TD with 20 seconds left and give Allar enough time. Enough time to what, get picked again?

It’s Greg McElroy, national championship winning QB for my alma mater, but the dude is such a pompous douchebag as announcer. He always tries to make it about himself by saying something stupid like that.

I like it. Throw the first pass out of bounds. No one expects it.

For good measure throw the lateral out of bounds too.

Did Allar have money on the game? ND is damn lucky they didn’t score a TD with 20 seconds left. Give Allar 10 more seconds and PSU ties the game, lol.

It’s too bad he didn’t draw a comparison with Mahomes and 12 seconds left against the Bills. Might have been meme worthy.

Incredible. No shot he’ll be there at 8.

I am man enough to admit when I am wrong and I am pretty sure I was dead ass wrong about him after watching last night.  He is nothing like burns.  This kid has a motor and seemingly can get to full speed in just a couple of steps.  He was even overpowering the RT and LT on plays.   I will be happy with Carter fro Georgia but man now I kindof really want to see Carter with our defense.  If the kid can play like that banged up holy poo............

I’ve backed off the Parsons comp.

He reminds me more of Von Miller coming out of A&M.  Probably the last Edge rusher coming out that I’ve seen that can accelerate, start and stop at Edge.

If he run at the combine,  his split times and shuttle drills should be off the charts.

And , this is just his first year playing Edge Rusher.  After coming on as a LB his first few seasons.

I dont think Parsons is that rangy but perhaps a bit more powerful.  But Carter seemed to be everywhere last night.

    • Yep and that is why teams have different boards.     I would refine the lower valued position limitation mentioned here to the bottom quarter or third of the first round. There are a lot of really good players at these low value positions taken from right around where we pick and later. All positions I guess.  For us, some highlights  Gamble @ 28 Beason @ 25 Kelvin Benjamin and DJ Moore went late too but man I’d be fine with trading aback a little and getting a Beason level player.
    • AND the last time we took a TE from Chicago that hadn't quite lived up to draft status it was Greg Olsen... bring this on nah
    • Guys let's not lose sight of the goal here. Ironically Dave Canales buddy Pete Carroll is a good example. In his later years with the Seahawks they "made the playoffs". Never went anywhere. Pete left town with his best friend Geno Smith and immediately proceeded to faceplant. Meanwhile the Seahawks hired a new coach traded away their best WR and signed Sam Darnold and they are your Super Bowl champions. Just because we backed our way into the playoffs going winless against New Orleans and barely splitting with the imploding Bucs for a 4-6 record in the last 10 games with the 26th passing offense does not mean we should be having a parade. Dave Canales team needs to take control of the division in 2026. Simple and plain.
