Time to hit the panic button

But then again our defense gave us a chance most games.  This year the defense has regressed to match our offense

What do you expect the D to do when we run the ball twice for 4-6 yards and then Bryce drops back on 3rd for an incompletion and we punt, over and over, and over....

Panic? We are what we thought we were. Most rational fans fully realized we were one of if not the absolute worst team in the league.

Yeah.  I mean I thought we would see a play or two where we looked competitive but that’s not to be.  I definitely don't think panic enters the equation but someone on Mint Street needs to face a harsh reality though.

I don’t think Frank Reich is a great coach but I don’t think he is totally incompetent.  Verdict is still out on Canalea but I can’t help but think the problem is just scheme at this point.

Had to drive to Atlanta today so listened to the game on radio and I can’t count the number of times Jake used the word “disappointed” when it came to BY. Dude was being diplomatic because of who signs his checks I suppose, but I felt like he wanted to say this guy sucks so many times.

At some point Tepper has to accept the ego checking the league is giving him and humble himself. Until he gets out of the way and sees himself out of football decisions we are what we are. No one wants to work for him. Our candidate lists start where everyone else's end. If is what it is. We suck because Tepper has made this organization toxic.

Bryce is going to have to have a really good “game manager” game, as well as, help from the def, for us to have a shot against the giants. This offense will score less than the Clausen lead Panthers.

Buckle up. As long as Bryce is starting, this team will not win a game this year

Not sure if its scheme, but virtually every pass was some 2-3 yard crap.  Almost anything beyond that and it was picked or incomplete.  Personally, I think its just qb choice to throw so many short passes.

    • I’ve said it in the past that this team has found brief runs of success this season off of a player or few that decides to turn God mode on for the day. Yesterday Chuba looked like the stud many forgot he was last season. Mike Jack ball hawked a pick 6 to the house? WTF? Derrick m-fin Brown.  Does anyone remember the last time a Panthers lineman closed out a big game? That play was classic Jenkins.  Coker is a stud (we are VERY fortunate to have him). Tet is a stud. Brown is a stud. Rico is a stud. Ickey is a stud. The O line continues to play much better than they rightfully should be. The depth players by and large have been refreshingly competent.  If they would have just played Panthers brand football all season they would probably have 9 wins but it is what it is. I think Bryce is far more comfortable in the game manager role, which for now is ‘ok’… for now. A team that can run the ball at will and has an opportunistic defense is a tough out for anybody, home or away.
    • True. But that elevation gain is no joke on the lungs.
    • Take away Bryce's two 4th and short passes and the screen to Chuba and what are you left with on fhe passing game? See how it goes when you selectively eliminate the three best plays? We caught lightning in a bottle yesterday on both sides of the ball. The D was overall not good but had three great plays forcing turnovers taking one back for a TD. The offensive passing game overall was not good but had three big plays resulting in TDs.
