Others have mentioned this, but you have to put Dalton in for a game or two just to see what you have on this roster. Who are the keepers? Is it worth giving an extension to Diontae Johnson?  Is Icky garbage or if there's a more savvy QB in the pocket, does he look a little better?

why would johnson resign here?

Nobody wants to sign an extension to play with someone that can't throw the ball five yards

To me, even with the crap play at the QB position, the O-Line has looked better than serviceable, they actually look decent and should only get better, baring injuries, the more they play together and gel.  The QB actually runs into sacks, and fakes hurries to scurry out of the pocket like a scared little miny mouse!  I have watched all the receivers get wide open, meaning more than NFL open, but if they are beyond 10 yards they can hang it up.  There is absolutely no way to grade any other player on offence!  Like I said last week, take the ball out of Bryce Youngs hands and the games will be closer.

Halftime yesterday was the crossroads at which the wrong road was taken. It was a gigantic middle finger to the entire room, sans Bryce. If another crossroads comes up next game and he still goes wrong… stick a fork in it.

Each play after that was its own crossroad.

Each time they send Bryce out there, they're saying "fug you" to the other players and the fans.

At what point does the NFL step in? Can they even step in? This is not the product the NFL wants presented to its viewers.

Johnson is not staying unless we sign a proven vet QB.

    • Any idea what happened to him at LSU? im reading that he was considered a 1st round pick in 2023, had an off 2024 season with only 4 sacks but was also on a horrible FSU team then went to LSU where he was supposed to be on an aggressive defense that should have given him a lot of sacks but he only ended up with one….   was he injured? Did the top SEC competition expose him? What happened? Cause this guy was considered a top prospect .
    • Sometimes its fun to read the threads/posts.  The panthers could literally hire a groundskeeper and we'd have a thread "improving the field for no other reason to prop up Bryce Young".  Apparently no move is ever done to actually make the team better.  All a conspiracy to just focus on Bryce Young. Or suddenly daydreaming and reminiscing about Sam Darnold when he was hated more than Bryce Young.  Its really fun to do a message board search about Darnold during that time period.   Or thinking there is just a tree that grows QB, and you can just easily go up and pluck one.
    • Yeah okay. We as an organization have been more patient with him than many. And there has been a small parade of guys drafted since he was, also to bad teams, that have passed him. Some have lapped him. As a fan I am out of patience but he gets this year it is out of my hands always has been. I just hope the bar is higher than it has been for him.    FWIW, XL dropped two passes last year. He did do some other bad stuff, just saying.
