I may be in minority but I saw some positive signs from Bryce today

he stood in the pocket a lot more and threw despite the pressure, attempted throws downfield, showed better command and poise

Negatives; inconsistent accuracy, terrible timing of interceptions, needs to be more aggressive downfield.

i expected a worse performance tbh, he looked improved compared to first two weeks but not sure if he deserves more starts.

part of me wants to see if he can build off this, maybe I’m crazy

Hoping enough positive to increase trade value.

STarting Bryce only hurts whatever trade value he has.

Nobody’s trading for him. Maybe a conditional 7th but anyone who’s holding onto hope that there’s another team as dumb as we are is delusional. Bryce Young is worse than Jimmy Clausen and he’ll be selling insurance in 5 years. Maybe he can process those claims as well as he was supposed to process football. He’s a joke and so is this clown show called a professional football team. fug David Tepper and his stupid wife for what he’s done to this team.

He is a multi millionaire. No need to sell anything.

Being a fan of the panthers now means thinking below average play is a positive.

It always has. What other team would be crying about not being able to pay $$$s on a second contract to an average RB when your GM already selected a “more talented” RB in the 2nd round?

We’ve always way overrated our players and it’s been worse since we’ve been a losing team.

    • I think what makes a qb elite is when every week you think your team has a chance to win because of your qb. No matter who they play, they always make you feel like you have a chance. I have not gotten that feeling once while watching Bryce.
    • Great point!  The quotes from O'Connell about teams failing rookie Qbs and the one about how you coach them after 3 picks and a loss were really interesting.  To me, an idiot with a keyboard, it means NFL teams need to be patience if they are going to have quality QB play. So bringing me to Bryce, is there some benefit to being patient.  I know it's not a particularly popular opinion around here, and even I am having a hard time wrapping my head around it.  Most QBs, when benched lose their confidence.  It takes a LONG time to get it back.  Bryce on the other hand was benched, and came back a different player.  I feel like that's worth a lot more than the physical talents of a guys like AR15... I think Bryce has the mental make up to be a good NFL QB.  His problem will always be his tools.  Now it's on coaching to work around that.  Bryce is more physically gifted than late years Drew Brees (low bar, I know).   While I'm content to see what happens this season, there's a small part of me that says...maybe we should see what grows?  (let me duck and hide from the well earned vitriol the Panthers have earned). Then again, I agree that some guys get it while others just don't.  I'm still hoping for the Panthers and Bryce to find success this season.  But if not, I won't be too surprised if the plug is pulled and there is a restart.
