Saints vs Panthers

Dar I say, Bryce looks like an NFL QB. He is calling checks, changing protections, changing the plays, staying in the pocket, and really playing within the system.

He looks like, I wouldn’t want to trade him. If he can really change that much of his game in just two weeks, after sitting for a few, I wouldn’t mind seeing how he did with a full offseason with Canales, in the same system.

I’m not going to say I’m sold on this small sample size obviously, but we’ve got so much youth playing right now that the fact they looked competent on one drive against a veteran Saints defense is a big, big leap.

Might want to hold off on that tickertape parade thru downtown Charlotte.

He has a pocket to work with. That LT pass pro has been a big problem. Bryce has definite limitations and he needs that pocket or he's done.

I imagine we'll see blitz over Mays adjustments if they can't beat BC at LT

We definitely need a bigger sample size of this though.

    • Yeah and Phil Snow has the second best defense in the league 😄 I'm reminded of 2015 where we used to build up huge leads in the first half just to wind up winning by less than a single score because our second half performance stunk. We built up some pretty good rushing stats over an early stretch in the year. Didn't really help us against the Saints though, or in some of our other losses. Hell, go back and look at past Super Bowl winners. Is it always the team that's ranked first in one category or another? After all, stat rankings always tell you who the best team is, right? 🤔
    • Didn’t say it does, Scot.  But as I pointed out earlier, most of the negativity in this thread is due to one of two reasons: 1) Guys that don’t want anyone competing with or taking the starting gig from their boy Bryce. or  2) Guys who dislike/hate Deion and Shedeur.     Again, statistically, there are no grounds to pick Bryce as a starter over another QB over the last three seasons.  And statistically, what Shedeur is doing as a rookie is impressive thus far, whether he was Deion’s son or not.  So if it’s not statistics and the eye test, then why are people so fired up about it?  The tells are there.
