DJ Moore: issues in Chicago?

I've seen other tweets like this one suggesting that Moore isn't happy. One theory is that he's pissed over the Justin Fields deal.

No, I don't think we can get him back.

I do think DJ was a Fields guy.

on that play, it sure looks like DJ initially hopped off w/ an ankle.  But who knows, there is a another clip with him almost shoulder checking Caleb on another play.

Trading up to the #1 pick to draft a QB and including his #1 WR in the deal will always be crazy to me.

Not saying Moore would have made Bryce a better QB, but damn they literally left him with nothing as a rookie.

We weren’t going to need good WRs with our little point guard, remember?

IDK, having issues with Williams is fine with me and I don't blame him on that front. Very weird he left the play but it also looked like he hopped a bit, too uncertain.

I have no problem with a guy who hates to lose but he should have asked for a trade before signing the extension that makes it very difficult to move him for a while. It was 4 months after they traded Fields so that's weird. IDK what's going on but at 27 mil a year makes it worse for the Bears and I am happy to see that.

I don’t think this is anything, it either looks like he tweaked something or he realized he stepped out of bounds and  knows he can’t touch the ball again. It looks bad sure but I don’t think he would just quit. He never showed signs of that here and he played on some garbage teams.

    • All I know is that it won't be boring. A win or two along the way and this team is suddenly in the mix throughout the season. It has been a long, long time we could say that at Thanksgiving. And that late bye of ours could give us a mighty leg up. If we can make it to it.
    • True, 12 man money league here….he is still sitting out there.  Projected to have a worse fantasy day than Davis Mills, Tyrod Taylor, Mason Rudolph that join him on the waiver wire
    • Yes to some degree, but the whole point of the video was that that applies to almost all QBs coming out of college. It’s not a Bryce specific problem. And those retreads you’re talking about may not have learned how to take those snaps from center yet either. They’re all growing/going through that process.    Bryce absolutely was part of the problem his rookie year (and continues to be part of the problem) but Frank Reich and company committed coaching malpractice. It truly was a lost year.    So really the question now is do you give him more time to learn or do you think there’s a better option out there. Maybe there is a retread that would be better for us, and maybe there’s a unicorn college QB that won’t have the same issues. But maybe there’s not.  I have no problem having Bryce on the roster next year or the following on his 5th year option if we don’t think there’s a better alternative. Hopefully bring in some competition of course, but give it a bit more time to see if he can improve.
