So guys like Metcalf could be traded this offseason 

Watson and Metchie are two guys you could call about 

Im sure Kirk will either get traded or get the boot but he doesn’t do much for me

Woods would be fine but I wouldn’t overpay. This team needs to be realistic this offseason and realize we’re not playing for a SB next year. 

Keep the OL together. Get Young a WR or two. Then focus on defense but do not overpay for guys just because we need to fill holes. If Young ends up being our franchise QB then take the approach that our first realistic competitive year starts in 2026

Coker is an ERFA - we have rights but we still have to sign him to a new contract.  He was a UDFA so he was on a 1-yr deal.  He belongs on the list.

As for the team priorities, WR is down the list behind most of our defensive needs.  You have XL, Coker, and Thielen - there are certainly upgrades to be had, but WR is not as big a need as EDGE, DL, LB, CB, or Safety at the moment considering contracts and talent.  I am all for one of the top 3 WR's if they are Brian Thomas level or better, but not at the sacrifice of most of those defensive needs.

Higgins is the only one I'd feel comfortable giving big money to. Godwin is good, but coming off a major injury and, IMO, hasn't flashed true #1 ability the way Higgins has. Granted, both play opposite elite WR1s.

I do think there are some solid #3 options available; Josh Palmer from the Chargers is my favorite.

We already have a #3 though....would you want Palmer over Coker/Thielen?  I honestly like our top 3 at the moment.  If we don't go get a true #1 I would rather leave it as is.

this.... unless it's for the trenches and we hit it the way we we did OG. i think this is the only place we should be throwing a lot of FA money if we're going to be. 

would rather we build through the draft, though and save the big money for good players we want to keep around.

I don't see anyone that would be either long term or short term beneficial.  

I think we need to continue to develop our room through drafting like the Packers, Lions and others have done.  The $ for FA should go to the front-7.

We need to do two things: get a dynamic player like Bryce, and/or add some speed on the outside.

Naw thats the old plan, If the Panthers truly believe Bryce is their guy. they need to gear up while he is on his affordable rookie contract and see how far he can take them.

Metchie would be dope. Hadn’t thought of trading for him. That was Bryce’s #2 guy his Heisman year I believe.

We need at least 2 WRs IMO. We need a WR1 and a WR3/4 speed/deep threat/returner. Due to our cap situation I don't see us actually getting/going after a Tee Higgins type of FA. Maybe if our cap was more like the Patriots. Basically we are going to have to scout and draft our butts off.

Cowherd brought up a Deebo Samuel trade.

 

Not sure he fits when we already have XL.

 

Honestly I don't want a WR in FA I rather we draft Tmac and come away with a much cheaper #1 WR. I would only sign Higgins if we know Tmac is not realistic in the draft.
