Betting has ruined football.

Except it's actually the opposite.

Betting and Fantasy Football are the exact reasons that the NFL is what it is today.  They're the direct reason for the exploding viewership numbers the last 20 years and thus the explosion of the media contracts which fund the league and it's teams.

You can make the argument that it has ruined the experience for some portion of fans who don't care about it, but it's what has built the league into the monster it is today.

Like I said, I fully expect the Eagles to win but imagine you're holding that betting slip and then Jalen Hurts or Saquan Barkley blows his knee up on the second play of the game. This is football. That poo happens. Now you're like OH SHIIIIIIIIITTT!!! LOL

Bite your damn tongue. I got 3 bucks and change riding on the outcome.

If you have $3.1M you can afford to bet on a football game what difference is $400k going to make to you? Whoever that is deserves to lose their money.

Close to a 13% return. Madoff was promising 15% and was running a ponzi. That’s good money. 400k is a lot of money no matter how much you have.

    • Blowout incoming and the wheels fall off. Parsons will have multiple sacks, prob a FF. Media immediately starts saying the Bryce era is over
    • It's worth noting that we started playing something that looked like football after going down 17-0 against the Dolphins.  Up to that point we had rushed the ball 3 times and Bryce had two turnovers.   Then we ran it 5 straight times with Rico and he started cracking off some big gains and led to our first touchdown.  Another 37 yards of rushing later, Bryce goes 1 yard complete, incomplete, incomplete to get that field goal before halftime.  Then we committed big time to the run in the second half and played some really nice complimentary football.  The Panthers had stumbled on a formula, and it started with Rico being crazy productive.  Something they only learned because Chubba was injured and Bryce started that game so poorly they were forced to lean on Rico. Fast foward to Dallas, they essentially lean into the same game plan against the Cowboys and I think everyone was surprised by how quickly it started to look complimentary.  In my opinion the productive offense really helped the defense as well.  We played quite solid against a top offense. Finally we make our way to the Jets and Bills, Chubba's return.  You can't say the low scoring affair and return to ineffective football against the Jets was all on Chubba, they were indeed a better defense and so was Buffalo.  But the production difference between the two backs in both games was both visually and statistically obvious.  The bigger picture is the offense took a major step back as well.  They are other moving parts and it's isn't all one thing, BY9>Dalton by a decent margin at this point.   But yeah, Rico's vision and athleticism is just better than Chubba and it jumps at you.
