I don't think that term really exists. Everything is weighted.. Say Sanders is on the board and is the boa you not going to take him.. or that tackle who is currently top 5.. you not going to take him. Everything is weighted to some degree to fill a gap.

You take not only the BPA based on our respective big board, but the best day 1 starter available to us. The second part removes the QB's (who likely won't be available regardless assuming they go top three and we are drafting at 4-7, regardless panthers probably see Bryce as the future with his play improving) and OT's (since we just shelled out money to two OG, Icky playing better/no room to shift him inside)

Common sense.. I wrote a whole paragraph and because of one typo you came away with that lol.

it said the same thing twice about both situations... it wasnt a your / you're kinda deal.  Just a light hearted way to gave you the opportunity to clarify before I responded.  we good!  or as melo ball would say "we gang."

Or you’d trade back with Dallas and get a haul to move back 2 spots so they can get Sanders. I hate the BPA argument too for a top 10 pick, context matters a ton drafting that high.

We have seen if you want Jamar Chase, Nabers those type talents they go high... That's what Bryce needs to take the next step. I do love Abdul Carter if hunter goes Number 3 to New England.. but at pick 4 I think those are the only 2 options right now.

Do we want those type of talents?  Seems to be they put up great numbers, but don't help their teams win Championships especially after 3-4 seasons when you have to pay them big money.  Linemen and Defensive front 7 picks are more boring, but they tend to be better at winning championships.

Just look at the Lions.  Their first pick in the last 4 drafts db, rb, ol, and de.  And they have the best record in the NFC.  I think fan bases are overly obsessed with getting superstar wide receivers, even though there is not much evidence that having those superstar receivers actually leads to championships.

I must have missed where the Lions have won a championship (btw they have 2 elite WRs as well and St. Brown is a superstar WR)

I mean how... Where does he play? You benching icky.. benching moton?  Offensive line is a strength right now. Best since 2008.. if you take a tackle at 4 it doesn't make us much better at all.

They have to take an Oline guy in every draft if possible (or every other draft). Doesn't have to be a high pick, stockpile the best at the spot available. I will die on this hill. One of the most important positions on any team.

    • What?!?!?! Chark's 1,000 yard season was 4 years before he played for us and he only had 525 yards in 15 games as our #1 WR.  Dude has 3,100 yards in 7 seasons, he's the literal definition of a JAG and you think he is better than half our current WR room? T-Mac is literally already better than Chark was at his peak, which again, was years before he ever even put on a Panthers uniform, and there is a real argument to be made that XL and Coker were both better as rookies than Chark was for us in his one season here.
    • Im glad we're starting low. It's nonsensical to put us at 28 IMHO based on objective things IMHO (I think 21-24) is far more appropriate but whatever. Washington was at the bottom last year FWIW.  In 2003, Sports Illustrated said our best chance to win the division was to transfer to the ACC. In 2015, everyone wrote us off as a team that snuck into the playoffs with a losing record in 2014 and lost our best WR in TC (Kelvin Benjamin). All these videos are fodder for conversation, but this prediction has no more validity than saying the Panthers are making the SB bc we're starting the season against the Jaguars again. If Bryce plays like he did down the stretch we will end up the season just fine. This roster is much better than it has been the last 2 seasons. No one knows who any season will ultimately end up, but this team is finally being built in the right way, and the idea that this roster can't compete this year is as insane as being it was when we were gaslit in 2023 that we were a rookie QB from winning the division with that roster.
