Sounds good, but I rather have Hunter if available.

The thought of Horn/Hunter DB tandem seems more dynamic than Brown/Graham tandem.

I would take Hunter but where do you play him? Easier to play both ways in college. I feel like he is going to have to pick a position in the NFL to focus on so he can work his best to try to be elite at one and then maybe sprinkle in a little of the other. DB would be my choice and worked into the offense at receiver a little bit would he be happy with that? Handy he said he wants to play both ways? If he means full time I don't see how that's possible. Lastly, would Deion allow him here without throwing a piss fit and infusing a ton of drama into the situation if we draft him. I think he is gonna be good but can he be happy with one position of focus and can Deion not meddle or hurt the situation before it even starts if he is drafted by us?

I like Mason Graham as a player but with a'shawn robinson playing well and already under contract for 2 more seasons I don't see the need for him. This team needs a true NT not another 3-4 DE.

I agree. Wouldn’t sleep on his DL mate Kenneth Grant. At 6’4 340lbs, he’s more of a true NT than Graham, based on their bios. Either would be welcome additions, Grant in the middle paired with Brown and Robinson would do wonders for our run defense.

Yeah he would be great if we can get him with our 2nd round pick. This team needs a true NT if we are gonna stick with the 3-4. I'm hoping we can sign Higgins in FA and depending on where we finish in the draft order take an edge and NT with our first 2 picks.

Don't get me wrong, he's great at the 10 yard crossing routes to pick up a first down, his big body and hands allow him to excel doing that.

But the thing he does best is make big plays downfield because of his ability to make contested catches, he's a guy that you can throw to even when he's covered and have a decent chance of him coming down with the ball over the defenders.

Thielen is a possession WR, T-Mac is nothing like him.

The popular comps are Evans, London, Higgins because they are all current players, but to me, he's always reminded me of AJ Green, who again, is no possession WR

Agree with all. Particularly the bolded. I do think Burden is more of what the Panthers need.

To my point about the numbers T-Mac would have put up if he was there instead of Hunter

T-Mac had 84 rec, 1,319 yds, 8 TDs

Hunter had 92 rec, 1,152 yds, 14 TDs

Shedeur had 1,000 more yards and 17 more TDs than T-Mac's QB... on only 24 more attempts on the entire season.

The 2nd highest receiving yardage by any Arizona player was a WR with 323 yards, after that it was a RB with 245 and a TE with 217... nobody else had over 196.

Colorado had WRs with 880, 617, 617, 434, 277, and 216

Arizona had 10 receiving TDs other than T-Mac... Colorado had 21 other than Hunter

T-Mac also only had 5% more of Arizona's catches than Hunter had, so it's not like you can say T-Mac's numbers are because of volume.  They spread the ball around plenty, but there was nobody else who could make plays or even scare the defense into not sending extra guys T-Mac's way.

Put him in that offense with a better QB, scheme, and other WRs to make sure he can't be double or tripled on every single snap, the numbers he'd have put up would have been absolutely crazy and people would be talking about him as the second coming.

What do you think about him being rated #11 on the big board by ESPN?

Feels like he might be more realistic than I thought. Im starting to think New England will likely go best OT. I think they go hunting for Tee Higgins.

It's possible we could trade back and still get Tmac. That would be the dream scenario.

I can only speak for me.

I would 100% play him at DB only. Then I would let him return punts and kickoffs. I don't play him on offense. This is a business at the end of the day and we have to look out for his health. He's not gonna last long playing both ways at the pro level.

Let Horn and Hunter cook on defense. We basically have 2 #1 DBs. Brown got the middle of the defense and you build your defense around those 3 guys.

You want to look out for his health but want to put him as a returner??

Play him as a CB and situationally as a WR especially in the red zone or on two min drives

Trading #4 could net us a real haul. If someone wants to trade this year’s first and give us this year’s second and next years first… I’d probably take that action.

You mean we wouldn’t have a first round pick this year? That doesn’t make sense

    • I'm going rogue in R1 but there's so much confusion around us. Last year, we were going Walker or Williams and caught folks off guard with TMac. The previous year we LOVED Legette and it was no surprise when his name was called. This year, I think we nail three areas that weren't totally addressed in FA.  R1 - Kayden McDonald Full disclosure, I want Thienemann here, but think he goes before 19. Some might see an "overdraft" but McDonald unlocks so many people on our D. Having a DT the caliber of McDonald let's Lloyd, Wallace and the newly drafted Hill flood the offensive backfield. Also opens up Moehrig and our EDGES to eat. Lastly, it also removes all the pressure on DB to be the primary facilitator in the trenches and A'Shawn will be missed. I don't care about Turk. McDonald is the only true DT worth of a R1 grade and Morgan seals up our trenches here w/ a kid from a blue blood school. R2 - Anthony Hill Jr *trade up*  I love JRod, but think a smart team takes him at the end of R1 (Seattle, NE w/ two d-minded coaches). Hill, Jr is a beast and lost in the shuffle with all the Styles/Allen/Rodriguez hype. He and Lloyd with DB and McDonald up front and flanked by Scourton/Phillips is nasty.  R3 - Hecht/Lew/Center du jour Let's stop the madness with ignoring this position in the draft. We need one and should start normalizing the capital invested in our OL with someone on a draft contract. He won't need to start day 1, but I think the right selection will push for starter reps. R4 - Bud Clark Not sure if he's here in R4 where we pick, but would fit the "type" of FS/roamer that we need opposite Moehrig and Ransom. Allows us to run 3-safety looks and really keep teams guessing with personnel packages. R5 - Kendrick Law The kind of WR we need. IDK if he's any different than Horn, Jr or Metchie but Law could be a dart throw that brings a deep threat to our WR corps I'm guessing one of the R5 picks is used to move up in R2 along with a '27 day 3 pick.   Post-draft, I sign Njoku to bring in a vet at TE. I'm also keeping my eyes open for pre-week 1 team cuts for a young CB that we could bring in to maybe plan for Mike Jack's departure next year. Flame away.... I know the McDonald pick will not make people happy.
    • Classic example on what AI is not currently good for.  It will create a baseline of statistics (which are fine but must be used alongside tape and other evals) and partner that with every rumor mongering dips*&$t on the web.
    • rippadonn likes him.  That might be a red flag.... https://x.com/rippadonn/status/2042310653176594854
