Chuba Hubbard wins NFC Offensive Player of the Week

Chuba has worked his ass off to become the engine of this offense. It cannot be understated how far he has come from his rookie season. Hats off to him. Well deserved and hopefully more to come.

It should be noted though as far as split backfield or 2 RB system goes I'd prefer Hubbard get the Lion's share of the carries because clearly he works best as the feature back. That isn't to say we don't need another running back to solidify themselves but when you have a guy playing the way he is not just from a production standpoint but all around putting in work blocking too you want that guy to be on the field more often than not.

    • Yeah we do. And still potentially on OL too.  Couple other groups.  NYG just had a rotation DT go down with an Achilles after trading Lawrence, shows you how fast things can flip.  Specifically on Lloyd, if healthy there is no way he is not a substantial upgrade. Even if he falls short of the high expectations he will be a noticeable improvement over what we had.  Phillips is an injury risk but otherwise should be a big upgrade that raise the level even if he doesn’t go off sack wise. Scourton? I don’t see a reason to think he will not be better. He was like 20 years old last year wasn’t he? He should get better quick.    Horn is a concern, especially with the late concussion and no real info on how he is doing with that going forward.
    • And no one here has inside the room info on exactly what terms Canales was given.   My thing is, Bryce was so unfixable that to hold Anyone, not specifically Canales, to a fix him or bust standard is completely unreasonable.  I can’t say that is not the deal. I can’t say I wouldn’t have taken it myself, even believing there was no way he could be made into what Tepper wants him to be.  But no one should be condemned for failing to make that kid into a top 12 QB. It is one the level of turning water into wine.
