Well, regarding McDermott, what other team in the AFC is breaking through right now?

TBH, I’m not sure any team is going to breakthrough in the AFC as long as Mahomes and Reid are in KC. With Reid’s run in Philly followed by his run in KC, I’d give him the mantle as GOAT coach over Belichick.

I really don't think I can keep following the NFL with this WWE level officiating. Good luck to the rest of you.

You don't bet on the outcome, you bet on the storyline and it's easy to follow. Kelce wins MVP of the SB and proposes during the awards ceremony. Goodell cements millions of Swifties to the NFL and their billions of dollars they're willing to drop.

I already said that I personally thought he did get to the line, but only BARELY.

But that's what that is, my opinion, there wasn't a single piece of clear video evidence that he got there, so you have to stick with the call on the field.

In the end, if he got there, it was by literally only a couple of inches and neither ref was ever going to actually be able tell exactly where the ball was, if this isn't the Chiefs in this type of game, nobody takes issue with the call and subsequent replay, it's what happens in plays THAT close.

There’s no doubt in my mind that he made it and there’s also no doubt in my mind that it should have been a half yard or almost the entire yard closer on Kinkaid’s catch the play before. Bills still had their chance and blew it (especially taking the XP off the board so early). That’s there MO to mess things up and go away from easy plays and the running game.

I thought he had the first but as soon as they marked it short I knew there was no chance it was reversing. I also don't know how they ruled that jump ball a catch for Worthy? He had 1 hand and the ball hit the ground...take the defender out of it and if it's just him alone there's no way that's ruled a catch.

The Bills also looked like the frustrating Panthers of old when our play calling was so predictable I could have played D coordinator. Cook was absolutely GAMING tonight and they take him off the field in short yardage/clutch situations. Every time he was on the field he got it done. Say what you will about the refs...I've said plenty, but the Bills lost this game.

From the live TV angle it looked like he got it

He did. A frame before or after showed his face and the top of the ball. The spot on 3rd down was also way closer to the first down than the spot was as well. The ball was in his left hand and his helmet was at the line. Using both angles, you could determine it without much difficulty. Refs played their part. No way to know if Buffalo scores or not and what KC does after so it is what it is and Buffalo had their last chance by abandoned all runs and dropped that 4th down throw.

I think the Bills gave up knowing that it wasn’t going to matter what they did, at a certain point there was going to be a lever pulled by the NFL to advance the Chiefs to the Super Bowl. The Bills had their chances, but it seems like something was off. And am I imagining this, but did they show a Chiefs Super Bowl ad for chips or something before the game was even over??

McDermott is a great coach and had the Bills right there to win this game.  A few plays or calls go their way and they are in the Suoer Bowl.  He isn’t going anywhere.

And the Taylor Swift factor didn’t help

Me too. I saw the top ref and thought they got it but then he backs off as soon as the bottom ref ran up.

I forgot about the Worthy play. If Worthy was given the catch then the ground touch made it incomplete. Made no sense. Either you rule an interception and Buffalo QB touched and down before the ball is pulled out or call it an incompletion because the ball touched the ground before Worthy got possession. That was likely an additional 4 points that KC got instead of having to kick a FG.

There was D holding called on that play anyways so they were getting a 1st no matter what. But who knows with all the extra yards. I'm no Eagles fan, but I hope Philly runs all over them. The Eagles have just had problems showing up at times this year...let's hope they bring their A game to New Orleans

I HATED the call to take away the extra point and go for 2 at the end of the half. I don't believe you should ever take points off the board. I also thought it was too early to go for 2 when they took the lead in the 3rd quarter. They should have been up 24-21 instead of 22-21. I sent out a text at 9:28pm and told several friends those missed PATs would cost them the game and they'd lose by 3. Guess what? Buffalo lost by 3. This game should have at least gone to OT which would have given the Bills a chance to win.

Dude, there were questionable calls both ways. At the end of the day, Josh missed it by a hair. All of you conspiracy theorists are just going to have to deal with the fact that the Chiefs simply own the Bills, and it's going to take something spectacular for them to break out of jail. But their in the jail cell with everyone else in the AFC.

There was a defensive penalty on that play anyways and the Chiefs were moving the ball at will.

    • lol well that kinda ended up working out in the end, even though I still don't have my jersey yet. Was supposed to ship by tomorrow this time, but just got another email saying it was delayed another 3 weeks and because it's been delayed so long, I had to tell them to keep the order or cancel it, but gave me a 25% off my next order as an apology. Well, my original fear came true and they are now selling the FUSE version (but still not the Blue unfortunately) before the one I ordered was ever shipped. But that's awesome, because I was able to use that coupon to order the FUSE instead and then cancelled the original order.  So I got the jersey I wanted for only $6.30 more than the crappier version costs, and it also says it will be shipped immediately and get here early next week, or 2 weeks before the other was now supposed to be shipped out.
    • I've watched this and think we are well underway.  Believe it or not, Bryce is a big part of this.  The way he bounced back with such grace.  And we've got a lot of young players who want to make their mark, Dave is giving them an opportunity.  I loved our draft.  I like the number of guys we brought in, and they will help build the culture we want under Dave.  We're getting closer, and I think we'll see more wins this year than most of the board. The right culture breeds winning, and winning builds the right culture.  Imho, it's coming.
    • As others have said it's both. One creates the other. But it also takes time sometimes years. And there have been teams lately with new car smell coaching staffs that looked like they were putting it together quickly but things came crashing back down to Earth. Sustainability is the key. For that to happen the meddling of our owners has to stop and they cannot be tempted to return to their ways over any bump in the road either.
