Living in Philadelphia for nearly a decade now. Eagles fans are insufferable and I will be more than happy if the Chiefs win.

Unfortunately I do believe the Eagles have the better all around team and Saquon is the true X factor, can never ever count out Patrick Mahomes though.

Gotta go with the eagles. edit: gotta go against the chiefs

Between the feeling that I think the chiefs got game changing calls in games that put them there and the total saturation level of ads and media featuring Kelse, Mahomes, and Reid, Im ready for the chiefs to go away

I hope Super Bowl ratings are down for the first time ever (even though if they were they’d lie and say they were the biggest viewership ever) so the NFL can stop fixing games. Who gives a F about the chiefs anymore? Stop rigging their games. Mahomes would be a B list QB back when you could hit their asses.

Iggles fans don't need another title to be even more insufferable

Let the Chiefs Dynasty reign untill we get back in contention

I'm all in on the Chiefs and have been for a few years now.  Mahomes is the best player in NFL history, period, and I feel privileged to be alive to witness his assault on the record books.

Star players always get preferential treatment. It's not nearly as bad in the NFL as say, the NBA, but it literally does happen in all major professional sports. In college the preferential fugery is absolutely off scale. It's been that way for decades.

It makes financial sense. Your stars players and teams drive fan interest and revenue. They care less about hardcore fans because they know very few of them are gonna go anywhere. Hence the pining after extremely casual followers(not even fans) with the Taylor Swift horseshit. It's a way to increase interest and revenue, although it will be predictably very temporary.

For all our bitching and complaining about the dumb European games, that has actually worked to create some lasting interest in Europe. And that is a project going back to the late 80's with the early iterations of NFL Europe.

Same with the rule changes to foster more offensive play. Does the league really want Ricky Manning Jr. shutting down a star player because he can hang all over them? Do they want Peyton Manning getting knocked out by a rotational DL that dove at his knees?

These are all efforts to expand the fanbase, increase the value of the NFL and member franchises(like the initiatives to include the ultra wealthy only as owners) that ultimately are designed for maximum profitability and longevity.

It sucks for the fans but all of it makes logical sense and it isn't really some grand conspiracy.

    • I'm not a Bryce hater and I would 100% move on.  Especially looking at how the upcoming qb draft looks on paper.  Hopefully he continues to improve but if in 3 seasons you're still chasing average season numbers then he's not going to be the guy.  You've just got to keep taking swings until you hit.  Average qbs without any elite physical traits cant get it done anymore.  So this year Hopefully he continues to develop and is above average statistically.
    • Meltdowns???? He was pulled by Canales because he wasn't executing the game plan after 2 games into the season so he could watch Dalton execute the offense and show Bryce the windows available in the NFL, how to push the ball down the field and how to step up and move around when blitzed. When Young came back 5 games later he clearly watched and improved. Enough he was named the future starter. He doesn't have a history of  meltdowns nor is there any reason to assume he will have one. From what I have read he is mentally strong and emotional stable. He may have bad games down the road, everyone does. But this is all a learning experience for him and so far he seems to be making progress. I can understand being hesitant on anything Panthers, but Young has surprisingly been able to gain his confidence after a disastrous start. You aren't alone in being cautious but I think he is the future. I thought he was too small and too short to succeed in the NFL. Honestly I was pleasantly surprised last year and am optimistic about the offense for the first time since Wilks and Dalton were decent.
    • The Rams wanted to trade up for Williams who they ended up within the end. They even told him that when they called him to let him know he is the pick. The other teams are only an assumption. Like the Cowboys, who took a guard. The truth is the team wanted to trade down first and foremost but couldn't get an offer the were happy with. They took McMillan because they felt he was bpa at 8 plain and simple.
