Family drama (Cam and Smitty)

I would say that's a poor choice of words on his part. He can convey the point that the Panthers were in disarray at best when he was drafted without calling the whole roster losers. There definitely were some quality players on that team. At the same time it shouldn't be confused that just any rookie QB would have came into that situation and flourished or gone on to be named rookie of the year. And also while I am very pro 89 there's also the reality that not just any QB let alone a rookie was going to be at all adept at managing his personality.

Anyways I think Cam needs to take a step back and assess this media persona he's created for himself. At some point with how he navigates this he is tarnishing his own brand and legacy for the sake of clicks and social media exposure. I mean he's giving credence to the things people used to say about him especially those who ironically were in the media. He's becoming that which he was victimized by because he still craves the limelight. That's unfortunate.

Hit it on the nail right here. Cam was, by all accounts, a great teammate and it feels like his recent takes seem more designed to get clicks than anything... But the worst part is, his takes are exactly the attitude his haters said he had, but that imo wasn't reflected at the time.

Smitty would have jumped on that fumble... nuff said.

89 checked out of more plays and games than one could actually count.  Guess it depends where his head was at in that moment

I love 89.l overall.  But he was a way more flawed player than huddle historians would tell it

Roster was full of pro bowlers and Panthers greats in reality.  Gross, Wharton, Kalil, Double Trouble, 89, Big Money, Gamble, etc.   Basically the future Ring of Honor.    Then they added some solid guys for his first year in

Oh, and you also had great dudes in house like Thomas Davis. Building  was slam full of studs in reality when Cam walked in….especially when you add Olsen, Shockey to the list of what was here

I mean.  To mention Shockey as a loser when

A. He wasn’t even on the 2 win team the year before

and

B.  The man has only 1 less Super Bowl Wins than Cam has Winning Seasons

Is wild

Cam's been very self serving in his comments lately. The roster he came into has more talent than many of today's bottom feeders - including us. Pickles was kind enough to deliver us the #1 pick because virtually any other QB would have kept us out of that slot.

The defense was very weak his first year but he came into a pretty good offensive situation tbh.  It just got worse the longer he was here unfortunately.

100% true. And I'm a Cam fan.

He came into a roster in 2011 that was much, much better than the 2023 roster, especially on offense.

    • 5 straight completions in the 4th quarter to get into the red zone and then score a stand up rushing TD and celly in one of the best defenses faces to bring the score within 1 possession against the super bowl champs is "stunned" to you?
    • yes, if you read what I said - that was due to his record breaking 245 yard 4th quarter performance in garbage time when the Seahawks were already celebrating. If Bryce puts up big numbers in the 4th quarter, people like you are quick to call it garbage time stats but seem to get selective when other QB's do it because it doesn't fit your narrative.  also, I'm logical enough to admit that Drake is a great QB and his performance had a lot to do with his protection, play calling, and other aspects. The game does not fall completely on the QB. Just like how the Panthers were still in the game vs Seattle until Horn's penalty changed that. It is a team sport, so many factors, players, refs, coaches are involved and it only takes one thing to change the game. the obsession with Bryce is just nauseating at this point and if you pay attention on here, it's the same 10 users quoting and pieing each other. it's super weird and everywhere else you go, opinions on Bryce are trending upwards. the way the season ended, the vibe at the stadium, the performance, should have everyone excited about this next season. Idk, maybe I just look at life and my entertainment outlets differently than others.
    • Are we sure something hasnt happened to him because that seems pretty shitty to simply abandon this place
