Not confident we can outbid other teams for Milton Williams.  I doubt it happens.  Hope I am wrong

Eagles have less cap than we do this year.  The year after however, Eagles have the 5th lowest cap, 46 mill.  In 2026 we have the 7th most, just under 150 mill.  We can shop with just about anyone

Spending mega bucks in free agency for a second straight season would be a bad sign.

Depends. Thinking we’re fixing the defense with a bunch of rookies only isn’t logical though. Milton’s only 26 and helps our Dline immediately

No, it's never a good idea to attempt to build by wild spending in free agency. The history of that is VERY clear.

You have to keep in mind that we spend a record amount of money on the two of the lowest value positions on the offense last offseason. We all enjoyed the improvements but to keep doing that at non-premium positions(S and NT are not premium positions) will absolutely end up being incredibly devastating long term.

No matter what, we have to eventually be competent at drafting or there is really never going to be any hope for us. The NFL has a salary cap. You can't buy championships in the salary cap NFL. Many have tried, none have had success.

I am glad we are going hard improving defense this time. I trust the front office finally to manage the cap. If we can bring in some free agent studs to allow us to draft BPA I am all for it. As a fan I only want to win baby. All the posts about not being able to afford it are coming from folks without a clue as to our plan to manage the cap. Just saying.....

That’s what happens when you consistently draft like poo.

I think we have some fans that really have their heads in the sand about how much this will keep you mediocre to bad basically indefinitely.

I think it depends on where the money is going. Obviously our secondary needs work but the Dline should be the key focal point and it would be unrealistic to expect it to get better overnight with rookies. In general nothing is being "fixed" in a single offseason but we can and should use free agency strategically. But we also cannot overpay from the jump like we did last offseason. That will be a recipe for another mess. Long time fans know how these stories go.

Fans that constantly pine after multiple big "splash" FA signings don't follow how those stories usually go the next season for the rest of the league.

    • I had everything saved on an old email address and my computer crashed and could not be revived.  I tried reviving it, then stumbled on one I was going to create several years ago...So I am using it instead.  My fault--did not keep the email and forgot password--
    • Rasheed Walker for Kris Jenkins Jr.is what i am actually referring to in that particular post  all those #'s you are referring to are athletic #'s & Monroe Freeling had or has an impressive combination of size & raw athletiscm & it has nothing do with his size or athelticsm that is preventing him from being a day 1 starter in the NFL technique is where he struggled at the NFL combine & not only scouts but analysts alike also viewed him as more of a developmental type of player rather than a day 1 starter  go take a look at Will Campbell transition from the SEC to the NFL another first round LT that was drafted #4 overall by the New England Patriot,s.Will Campbell was a three year starter at  LSU & was thought to be one of if not the very best LT's in the SEC  & compare his SEC carrer to his rookie season in the NFL? just because you played good in the SEC at LT does nescarrily mean you are ready to start at LT in the NFL day 1 & or your rookie season  & one last thing i think you are jumping to conclusion & somehow assuming that i do not like Monroe Freeling ?which could not be further from the truth .what i do not like is the idea starting a player who is not ready ...just saying
    • I'd 10x rather play the NFC North than NFC West.
