I said last week he is clearly not on nabers or Harrison Jr level so don't know how he goes top 10. Only select panther fans are pushing so hard to take him that high.

There's probably only 4-5 guys that are top 10 worthy so what do you do if we cant trade back?

Have not read the thread:

Yes, the Jacksonville Jaguars are reportedly "all in" on drafting wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan, with some mock drafts even projecting the Jaguars to select him in the first round, specifically at pick number 5

What is even going on in that interview? Bizarre all around. But he is only 21 years old. Some team is going to take a chance on his talent. He definitely will need to go to the right situation with a strong coaching foundation though.

Its some clip from the offseason after his freshman year.  Those guys are watching it and it makes it look like they're interviewing him in the clip.  But it's not like a TV interview.

Still, that attitude is a big red flag for me.  I really doubt he's done a 180 in 2 years.

So 2 years ago, a Freshman doesn't say he doesn't watch film at all, just that he doesn't watch it on his own because they do it as a group.

And that is what is turning people off of him now?

Good lord, don't want to draft a player if you don't want to, but this is such an asinine reason to jump on.

Even just setting aside that it's not like he said he doesn't watch film at all, it's also ignoring that WR is the one position on the field that for the most part, doesn't really require a player to be a film junkie to be elite.  It's the one position on the field where players almost never make their own decisions of what to do, and in fact, if they are making their own decisions, it's more likely to end up costing the team than helping them.

Every other position needs to understand what the other team is likely to do so they know what they should do in return.  The OL/DL needs to be able to recognize what the other's tendencies are and what they're planning on doing so they know who to pick up or what to look for.  RB's need to recognize what the defenders are doing pre-snap so they know where their lanes are likely to open up.  LB's and DB's need to recognize what the offense is planning on doing so they can try and beat the offensive player to the spot to make a play.  And QB's of course need to know everything.

But WR's, not so much.  Sure it would be good for them to recognize the coverage they're facing, but for the most part, that's not that hard, not to the point where the player needs to be a film junkie on their own.

And more to the point, WR's aren't supposed to be making their own decisions based on what they're seeing, because the QB needs to trust them to be exactly where the QB expects them to be.  It's why they run the routes for the play that is called and it's on the QB to alter their route pre-snap, and if the QB does that, it's still on the WR to run the route the QB told them to, not whatever they want, because if they don't, you run the risk of INT's.

Most WR film study is to see what specific DB's will do to them, and really, that type of film is best watched with coaches anyways so they can advice on how to best attack said technique/strategy from the DB.

This video is a big fat nothing burger.

Warren would be the better selection if they're going to pick a pass catcher.

I know some don't like it... but the fact he also blocks and runs at the goaline and even can pass... Since we not using Bryce for qb sneaks... he'd give us multiple wrinkles. He is 1 of like 4 prospects I like

Tetairoa mcmillians agent aka @tukafan21 just will not allow people to dislike his guy. One man wrecking crew in any threads about his client, I knew by the first thread, just let him handle the posting...

That's the full vid

I mean, he's young(19?) and already divia'd some, I cannot blame the kid. If you went around and filmed every single top recruit and years later watched the video..... For many it would be eye opening.

He could be totally different now. Of course you want all players to have luke kuechly dedication and focus, but its just not the case for 99% of these young men. It doesn't change anything for me, Im still riding agents tuk21s bus.

DRAFT THIS MAN DAN and BRANDT!!!

Yep, he's such a diva that he literally turned down NIL money this past year and told the boosters offering it to him to spread it around to other players to help keep them in town after our coaching staff left last year.

I really don't want a guy with that kind of character on my team, just too much all about himself.

    • As bad as AR has been, the Panthers would’ve been better off right now, if they had stayed at #9 in 2023 and picked him instead of doing what they did.  At least this way, they would’ve only wasted one draft pick vs what they gave up to pick BY. And they would have kept the #1 pick in the 2024 draft.
    • I felt pretty good about us making progress this season, surprising some people, and getting some more wins than last season going into it.  Now, after preseason, my expectations are much, much lower. I was talking with my friend who is a Bears fan, and we were discussing their drubbing of the Bills and how people try to dismiss it as “preseason, so it doesn’t count.”  It absolutely counts.  Not the wins or losses.  No one really cares about that.  But what the Bears are doing shows that even in a vanilla, non-specific scheme, they are executing at an elite level and they are disciplined.  It shows they are well coached.  They see growth in their players.  Versus us - hard to tell what we’re looking at because everything is a fuging mess.  In games we’re still undisciplined, be it penalties or assignments.  We do NOT execute.  We got random coaches calling plays that won’t be calling plays during the season, we have our players getting into fights in the last padded practice of the preseason, then we have Bryce and Chuba trying to correct it while our coach sat off to the side laughing.  To be clear, I like Canales.  He seems like a good dude.  But, it feels like we have very little direction and discipline.  You’re allowing a team who has been historically bad the last almost decade, with a losing culture that mostly bereft of talent to self-police?  You’re allowing subordinates to work in pet projects at the expense of getting valuable reps and evaluation of players in during games?     My friend literally brought up last night that when Ben Johnson got there he essentially put DJ Moore in notice because it was starting to be perceived that he was displaying some diva-behavior.  That’s leadership.  And they’re reaping the benefits early and setting a tone.  My friend said there is an excitement and confidence in and around their team that’s he’s never felt his entire life.  And here we are, sounding and looking like The Bad News Bears in our final week of training camp and preseason.  I literally stopped watching after halftime last week.  I used to watch every play faithfully, even in 2001 and 2010.  It was fun.  This isn’t.  We are bad and our administration keeps making bad decisions to compound things.  Reading poo like this today is just fuging deflating.
